Glory be to Me Who created all animate and inanimate things. Glory be to you who raises the cup of life high and loves the world I created and placed you in. The world and all those in it are waiting to be loved. If everyone waits, everyone will be kept waiting. This is a cycle in the world that needs to be broken.

Sometimes it is like you are a hunter in the forest filled with other hunters, only you can't tell the hunters from the prey, so you are always ready to defend yourself. Even when you know that your defenses are pretense, a show of courage, a bravado you do not always feel, still you keep your rifle raised.

It is like you are used to an old car, and you keep driving it. Even when the old car has proven not to work anymore, you still get in it. The car has become a mode of life for you just like being ready for lack of love has been.

Today I will give you a different pretense. It is not a pretense at all, of course, but it may be easier for you to accept it as a pretense. Today you will set your cap in a way that says:

"Make way for love. I am love. I am one who gives love. And I see that you, who crosses my path today, are just like me. You come before me to give me love. I eagerly await your love. I can hardly wait for it. The love you give to me will equal the love I give to you. Your love may even exceed mine! Friend, it is such a lovely thing to get up in the morning and to know that I am going to meet you and receive my love. Even if I meet fifty people today, I will accept all the love they offer me, and I will give all of my love as well. I like this exchanging of love back and forth every which way. I love being the giver, and I love being the receiver. This is how I live my life, from one moment of love to another, love everywhere, love undaunting. All the love in the world is rushing to me, and I rush to meet it.

"Whom will I meet today? Whom will I discover? Who will discover me today and fill the chambers of my heart with the same love I give? I give my love away today at no cost. It certainly is no cost to me, and it is not to another either. There is no debt when it comes to love.

"Debt occurs with possessions. But love is not a possession and there is no asking price. Not even love has to be returned. I am the one who must pass it out. And when love is returned to me, I accept it graciously. That means I accept it, not as my due, but as a waiter accepts a tip, not even really because my service is good but because the heart of the giver is good.

"I favor the universe when I give out love and when I receive it. I realize that love is the medium God uses. He has given it to me freely. I will give it away the same way I received it from God — abundantly. I don't have to know how to give love. I just have to give it. Nothing is required of me before I can give love or receive it. Nor is anything required of another. I don't have to earn love. I have a courtesy ticket to the theater of love. My ticket keeps its validity and so is always usable."

And I say, to you: Blessed being are you who loves for My sake.
