Absence of Perceived Light

God said:

You have desired Me or you would not be reading this.

You have desired to embrace positivity and to be free of negative thinking.

You have desired to be in the moment where shackles of the world do not exist.

When you are in the present, you are not pondering. You are not looking back nor are you peering ahead. You are where you want to be. And you are in the moment. You are in it. When you are in the present, you are fully in the embrace of it. You are yourself without trappings. You are yourself out of past and future. You are actually in eternity. Eternity is timelessness.

Of course, when you are in the present, you are not looking at it as if from the outside. Consciousness is not self-conscious. When you swim in the pool of consciousness, you do not think: "I am swimming in the pool." You do not think: "I used to be out of the water." You do not think: "I will be getting out of the water." Such thoughts pull your awareness out of the pool and drop you onto the shore.

It is not possible to be in the water and have negative thoughts. Negative thoughts pull you out of the water. They even make the water seem to disappear.

Negative thoughts do not exist in the present. Negative thoughts and the present are counter-indicative.

The moment is spaceless and timeless. You who are caught in time yearn to run out of it and outside it. In the broad sense, running out of time is being in the moment. Of course, there is no time to run out of. There are no deadlines to meet in the exquisite presentness of eternity.

I guess you could say that I, God, as I am understood in the world — I am the energy of eternity. And so are you.

When a negative thought pursues you, substitute a thought of Me. Substitute more than a thought of Me. A thought of Me is not enough, but it is a beginning. When negativity overcomes you, leave it alone and come to Me. Pursue Me. Move over a millimeter in your mind. Breathe Me in. Breathe negativity out. Awareness of Me as I am and awareness of negativity cannot coexist.

I am eternal. Negativity is external. Negativity has no existence. It is a non-entity. Do not give it so much credence. Negativity seems powerful when you are in the grips of it. The dark seems very dark indeed.

Well, turn on the light. Darkness has no power on its own. The negative is only negative. It is only absence.

Negativity does not belong to you any more than the past and future belong to you. Negativity is a dark hole. When you give credence to that which is not, you feel negative. Of course, you do, because when you feel negativity, you have stepped out of Truth. You have allowed negativity to countermand Truth in your illusion of thought.

When you feel negative, you have beheld a particle and taken it to be the whole. When you feel negative, you have, for a span of earthly time, abandoned Truth. You have abandoned your recognition and remembrance of Truth. You have superceded yourself with shadow. You have put the God of negativity before the Truth of you. Now abandon nonexistent negativity. You do not have to collect it.

Throw it away. It is waste. Have a ceremony right now in your mind in which you flick negativity away. You are not the fertile home of negativity. It may have snuck into you, but that does not mean it is yours, and it does not have to grow in you. You can step out of it.

Very beautiful. But even more so, sad. The perennial battle is still lost every single day. Oh, to not look from the outside and be dropped on the shore! To be out of past and future and, most of all, not pondering. What do I imagine pondering saves me from?

Pondering is like swimming,

Pondering is like swimming, I think. When you're in the water, why do you swim?

Pondering must lead us somewhere, dear friend.

pondering

I have tried to believe that for too long. Now it seems to me the only thing pondering is leading to is a yearning for the end of pondering. As I understand this Heavenletter, pondering is all the extra thinking that does not contribute to swimming at all but only creates, maintains and deepens rifts, splitting us off from what is. When you are in the present, you are not pondering, as this Heavenletter says.

As long as pondering is fun, fine. When it gets painful, it is natural we start wondering. What is it about? What do I have to keep a distance from? In my case, it appears to be God Himself.
