A Visitor on Planet Earth

God said:

When someone is difficult to deal with, all the more reason for you to love them.

When someone is not bright, all the more reason for you to love them.

When someone is contrary, all the more reason to love them.

When someone is overbearing, all the more reason to love them.

When someone is anything that they are on Earth, all the more reason to love them.

There never is a reason good enough not to.

Who are you not to love another? Who set you above anyone else?

If you are more intelligent than someone else, be glad and grateful, and use your intelligence with grace.

If you are kinder than someone else, be glad and grateful and so be more kind.

If someone is ignorant, what is that to you?

If someone is rude, what does that have to do with you?

If someone is nervous, must it interfere with your calmness?

If someone is obnoxious, be nice.

If someone is rude, be polite.

If someone is hungry, feed them.

If someone gives you advice, say thank you.

If someone does not appreciate you, appreciate them anyway.

This life on Earth that you might want to forsake is a dress rehearsal. You are on your way to Heaven. On your way to Heaven, what can deter you? On your way to Heaven, what can upset you?

You are Heaven-bound. Bound for Heaven, what can dismay? Your arrival is guaranteed. So, what can the matter be?

You are a visitor on Earth, and all the while, you are Heaven’s guest. Heaven awaits your appearance. Meanwhile, remember your role in Heaven and that you are to enact it on Earth.

Your role on Earth that you have chosen may be that of miser, but you know that is not your role in Heaven.

Your role on Earth may be to sell tinder, build houses, dig holes, but you know your role in Heaven is greater than that.

If your role on Earth is to be a humanitarian, your role in Heaven is greater still.

You came from Heaven. You are made for Heaven. Consider Earth a kind of Ellis Island. You moil around there for a while. And all the time you are, not withstanding, a citizen of Heaven.

Remember this always. Heaven-borne, Heaven-sent, Heaven-bound, you are a mere visitor on Earth. Earth is a way station. It is a little stop along the way. This is not your destination. It is not your permanent home.

You don't belong in war, strife, friction, problems, grief, despair, dissolution. You belong in Heaven.

You don't belong in traffic. You don't belong in revolving doors. You don't belong on hot sidewalks.

Earth is a stop on the way for a little while. All the while you are boarding the train for Heaven or climbing the ladder.

Since you are a mere visitor on Planet Earth, during your short stay, you are to edify it. You are not to complain about it. You are to remember who you are and from whence you have come and what direction you are pointed in to point everyone in the same direction.
