The Unity of Love

God said:

When you come from the unity of love, there is nothing to think about. From the unity of love, there is no difference between giving to another and giving to yourself. Nevertheless, when you come from a place of love, you are not thinking, "I must fill other people's needs." You are not thinking: "I must give a lot of myself away."

From the unity of love, your vision is greater than serving individuals, for you are serving Me. In the process, you help individuals, but individuals are not your focus.

Christ served Me. He helped individuals, but his attention was on fulfilling My Will. He wasn't thinking: "I must help this person and that person, and there are so many, how can I keep up?"

He was thinking: "I serve God today."

Christ was not at the mercy of individual wills. Christ never had too much to do. His life was simple. He extended himself, but he did not overextend himself. He didn't run here and there. He walked an easy gait.

In your case, what often happens is that, in your desire to be loving and give love, you subjugate yourself. You are not a saint. Nor are you to pretend you are or try to be one. Nor did I ever tell you to become one.

Saints do not know they are saints. They do not set out to be saints the way one might set out to be an accountant. It is not their ambition. Their ambition is to serve Me, and, therefore, the universe. This is their mission.

Saints do not sacrifice. They simply do what they see to do. They see as they see. Whatever they give, they feel the blessings they give.

True, their lives were not their own as your life is your own. They did not put themselves first nor did they put themselves last. They followed Me. They often were first to follow Me. They gave up nothing. They were where they were.

Nor are you to self-sacrifice. Erase the idea you have held that saints sacrificed, that you must be a saint, and that you must do penance and sacrifice. You do not serve Me by depleting yourself. You are My child as much as anyone. Remember My love for you. I do not ask you to lie down on railroad tracks and let yourself be run over. In the name of love, love. Love all, and that includes yourself.

It is true that many are self-centered. Their focus is overly on themselves to the exclusion of others. But you who read this are not like that. Others may not have yet grown to the state of love. But you have. Remember to love yourself as well. Learn to love yourself more.

You are not a potato to be grated until others have enough of you. You are not to serve Me to the point of depletion. Keep your eye on Me, and not the people that I help through you.

Never feel you owe anything. When you feel you owe, you deplete yourself. Giving is not owing. Giving is giving, according to your state of consciousness.

Christ came from his level of consciousness, and he taught love and trust in Me. He gave his attention where it was most useful in service to Me. He knew I was the Father and that he was the son, ever the Father's son, and he knew that the Kingdom was within. And so must you know it is within you. This is your Source. And this is your direction.
