Have no other gods before Me means to put no other authority before Mine. That means to put no person, no school of thought, no opinion above Me. There are many who are wise that you can learn from, but you do not set anyone up as an authority when it comes to Me.

And no one is to purport himself as knowing more than what anyone’s own heart knows. When you ask another Human Being a question about Me, and you take their word for it, you are giving over authority for your own heart and mind. You are making a god of them. Whatever their truth and good intent, they are not to be a god to you. When you give supreme authority over to another, you are making a false god of them. Give more honor to yourself.

You want to know Me, do you not?

Do you really think someone else is more capable of knowing Me than you are? Do you really think it is a good idea to set someone else above you when it comes to Me?

Ask a math question, and accept the answer on faith. When it comes to Me, accept Me on faith but no other.

What do you think answers gain you? What is supposed to happen when you have the so-called right answer to a question about Me?

In your journey to Me, you have to walk on your own two feet. No one carries you over to Me but yourself. There is no cart that another can pull you in or push you in. No one can smuggle you in under their coat. You cannot ride in on someone else’s coattails. Seek to enter the Kingdom of Heaven on your own steam.

I am not a subject to be taught. I am the Knower within your own heart, and I am to be known firsthand. Secondhand knowledge is secondhand. Knock-knock on your own heart, and I will answer. Listen to your own heart. Your own heart is the metronome you go by. The bird in your own heart speaks the Truth to you. You must find Paradise according to your own atlas. Another’s map, no matter how accurate, is not your map. It is theirs.

You are not an interloper. You are not a hanger-on. You are a radiant child of God. You do not say to another: “Bring me to God.” Nor can you, anymore than anyone else, no matter where you stand, initiate another into the Halls of Heaven.

Everyone, listen to your own heartbeat. It whispers to you: “I will take you to God.”

Say to Me in your heart: “God, bring me into Your presence so that I know where I am. Keep me in Your presence so that I may know I where I always am.”

The transportation to Heaven is your own free will. There is no other mode. You have to go by foot, one foot after the other – rather you have to go by one heartbeat after the other. Do you understand Me?

Someone can teach you how to swim, but you are the one who has to learn. Someone can teach you how to play the piano, but you are the one who has to learn. When it comes to Me, all the teaching and all the learning is up to you. No one can teach you, for I am the Teacher.

Others can point you in the right direction. Rather than following a school of thought, follow Me. Follow Me where I take you. I lift you to Me. I raise you to My height. Beloveds, you cannot stand on anyone else’s shoulders, only Mine.
