Opening to God
Diane to Gloria:
Dear Gloria, I am having such a wonderful opening to God in my life, and I thank you so much. I am trying to do my own Godwriting, and it is good, but it feels like I am just making it up. I wish you were here to do another workshop. Do you have any suggestions on how to open or listen to God? Thanks.
Gloria to Diane:
I will write you a note, but let's hear what our Heavenly Father has to say:
God:
That is a beautiful expression — "I am having such a wonderful opening to God in my life."
Say that every morning. Everyone, say that every morning, and the world as you know it will open up to the Heavens. The minute you pull the blanket off you to get out of bed, in that opening sweep of the blanket, say : "I am having such a wonderful opening to God in my life."
The sunrise sings that song. Birds sing it. Flowers open up in their love for Me.
That opening you are experiencing is love for Me. Love for Me is noting Me. When you note Me, you knowingly enter an arbor of love.
The song I sing is: "I am having a wonderful opening to Diane in My life. I am having a wonderful time opening."
You are the rose opening to the sun.
You are also the sun opening to the rose.
You open to opening.
In regard to your own personal Godwriting, Diane, just do it. Let it flow. Let it open to Me. If your Godwriting is 80% Me and 20% you, so what? If it is all Me and none you, what is the difference but your adoration of yourself?
Adore yourself regardless.
If a particular response in your Godwriting is of utmost concern to you, then ask Me if it is Mine, and I will tell you.
Mostly, just trust. Don't ask the question: "Who is saying this? Whose words are these? Whose wisdom is this?" You know it is not the Diane's of ordinary life. It is God in Diane Who conceives it, not some far away Entity far outside her realm.
Posing your questions has great merit.
Writing them down is another notch in your belt.
Tell Me, Diane, who does not like to be written to?
Write to Me, and let Me answer you in written words on your paper through your pen and hand. Talk to Me, Diane. I am lonely for you.
Gloria:
Dear God, I received two questions yesterday that had to do with depression. One was on the phone from a fine dear friend on the West Coast who woke up and recognized depression in his heart, and increasingly noticed it during the day.
God:
He also gave his own answer.
Because of company, he puts aside his work. Because of many things, he puts aside his work.
His work, like Mine, is creating. He works in his home studio. Somewhere along the line he put up a sign for himself, his family, and his guests: "Guests, take precedence over my creative work."
He has been living an untruth, and that is depressing. The untruth sinks in.
He also said he needs a studio outside of his home. That is truth, for it will then be easier for him to reserve his time and space for his opening to Me.
What do you think creativity is? Where do you think the ideas come from?
I broadcast ideas, and My children reach up as to an apple tree and pick off what their hearts have chosen.
It is a daily exercise.
Your kind friend on the West Coast must consider himself an accountant who has clients and deadlines. All will respect that. No one would raise an eyebrow about an accountant going off to another room to punch in his figures.
Your friend needs to have office hours, whatever he chooses, but these hours are to become his boss.
The remaining time he can spend with company or whatever else.
What does he do when it is time to meditate? He doesn't forgo it for the sake of company.
If his creative work is important, he must honor it, and then others will. If he does not, who will? Without that honor, the uneasiness called depression comes in.
Yes, a separate studio would be best. It would be easier, but even amidst noise and company, he can use My ideas for his own.
Gloria:
Dear God, almost all of the Heavenreaders who wrote in really expressed how much they like the new trend of questions from other people. But a minority expressed that they miss the old way. I think I will leave a day or days a week for just you and Me, or maybe that's how it will happen anyway. Would You like to comment on this?
God:
It matters not who the question supposedly comes from. The question is from My one child in varied forms. All questions are yours — and everyone's.
You, Gloria, need to make the time to let Me layer My answers so no Heavenreader will feel anything is missing or lost.
You, of late, have been a more "urgent" Heavenwriter, a more efficient Heavenwriter, wanting to get to the group meditation in time. No matter how early you are up, you have your eye on the clock and the number of pages.
Be easy with everything. Be a lazy inefficient Heavenwriter who waits for Me to say more rather than your saying: "Time's up. Appointment's over."
Don't count pages or time. Time with Me is no time at all.
Let My love wash over you and reach the farthest recesses of your heart. Let Me sink in. Let Me author you. Let Me take all the words and notebook space I want.
Want some poetry?
Gloria:
Yes.
God:
You have to sit and wait for it. You have to give it a chance to come.
Gloria:
And I have neglected Mother Divine.
Mother Divine:
No, you haven't. You can't. It not my need but yours. You can only neglect yourself.
Sometimes we, you and I, want to play. Sometimes you need to.
So let's idle on these pages a while and see where our idling takes us.
Perhaps to the top of a tree?
Or inside a flower the way bees and humming-birds do?
Or why don't we be the flower and let the bees and birds and people's noses come to us?
Why don't we be just the scent of the flower and travel from ourselves and enter other people's consciousness and go with them?
Why don't we be a whisper of God and tickle ears?
Why don't we be an impulse of God and go where He impels us?
We are a laugh of God's, the way it comes out.
God laughed, and here we are!
That is a laugh.
Or maybe a giggle.
Maybe everything on earth is really God's joy, to and fro.
What if you really are God's happiness, and you only thought you were something other than His happiness?
What if you thought you were agony or poverty or non-existence or mortal even?
What if you thought you really could die?
What if you thought skirmishes on earth were the reality instead of Heaven?
What if you thought you were being punished?
What if you thought you had no father, no mother.
What if you thought you were a wanderer on the face of the earth?
What if you thought you couldn't look up?
What if you thought you were all that there is?
Hmmmmm.
You are all that there is. You are God's thought, and that's all there is. But what a wonderful All There Is!
God conceived you. You are His idea. He is not your idea. He IS. And He is planted firmly in you.
All you do in the world is to talk to yourself about yourself!
When you remember the One Who conceived you, know you are His happiness.
How would God's Happiness do things today?
What differences would there be if you knew that?
What if you said:
"I am God's Happiness. How do I greet the world and what do I see?
"I am God's Happiness today. What do I care about but that? What do I think matters?
"I am God's Happiness so I am carefree.
"I am happy for God. I am happy for His sake. I am His Happiness returning Itself to Him.
"God's joy is mine. He gave it to me. I do not squander it.
"I wrap up God's joy and God's love, and I email them back to Him. I airmail them back to Him. I toss them up into the blue sky for Him.
"I give them to the Sun's rays to deliver to Him.
"I hand God's happiness to God, for I am His Happiness put here to multiply His.
"Since I am God's joy, I cannot refuse. So today, I am happy in my reflection of God's love."
God:
The other question you received was from Nancy. Print it now:
Nancy to God:
Dear God, I am turning more things over to You, and it feels good. I am turning my addiction to food over to You. Already I have noticed that it is easier to resist overeating. I had been going to Weight Watchers, and that was helping, but as soon as I stopped going, I started gaining weight again. Please help me to keep from overeating.
In another area I am having more difficulty. When my husband is in a bad mood and says that life is not worth living, I can't help but feeling frustrated and helpless. I turn him over to You, but his moods affect me, and I guess I just wish that he would accept Your help soon.
He says he is "going to have a go-around with God," as if You are the reason for his unhappiness, and I know that is not true.
What will You tell me to help me relax and be willing to wait?
God to Nancy:
Your question, Nancy, is answered in Mother Divine's divine words above. Perhaps print out that section separately and leave it around where Tom can see it and read it from his own volition.
My answer, Nancy, is: When you are My Happiness, what can affect you?
On a more mundane plane, laugh at Tom's nonsense. Laugh inside yourself. It is a joke, isn't it? This moroseness is another example of his control backfiring. Leave him alone with his self-inflicted pain when it gets to you, and go somewhere and have a good time. It's on Me. I will treat you to a good time.
