If you have been serious all your life, perhaps now it is time to have fun, even become frivolous. If you have been economical all your life, perhaps now is time to spend. If you have been shy, now be outgoing. If you have talked a lot, now be quiet. Sometimes you have to shake yourself loose from where you have been.

For one day, one hour, one minute, do something differently. The way to break a pattern is to break it. If there is a pattern in your life that no longer suits you, then you are the one to break it, and break it now. Do not wait for Me to do it for you. Do not wait for a perfect occasion. When you think of it, that is the perfect occasion. That is as perfect as it is going to get.

If you want to climb a mountain, the only way to do it is to climb it. No one is going to carry you up the mountain. There is no better time than now to do whatever it is that you want to do and to go after that which you would like to attain.

What is it you want? When you want to eat an apple, you get up and go to the refrigerator. You don’t expect the refrigerator to open itself and toss you an apple.

When you want to go to the corner store, you get up and go to the corner store. You don’t expect the corner store to arrive at your door.

When you want to change something in your life, well, get up and change it.

Change is sure to occur soon or late. But change is not something you wait for. Change is something you take responsibility for.

Sometimes change seems enormous to you, as it were a move from one country to another. But whether you move next door or across the sea, the mechanics are pretty much the same. You leave where you are, and you go somewhere else.

You open another door rather than the one you had been accustomed to opening.

Change is good because it makes you pay attention. Do not be afraid of change. It can be your best friend. Through it all, through whatever joy or whatever upheaval, your life will change, your perception of yourself will change, but the core of you cannot be interfered with. You are the child of God whatever transpires. You cannot lose yourself. Even if you wander the streets without a place to live, you are intact. Even if you lose contact with reality in the world, you are still a viable Being of God. There is no other way it can be.

Whether you comprehend life or not, life is precious. But how life plays out may or may not be indicative of you, because you are beyond the life you live on Earth. You are beyond the concept you have of yourself. You are, in fact, beyond your wildest dreams.

And yet, you are just beginning.

Your journey is new every day. You may feel your life is like going to battle every day, or perhaps like a jaunt at the beach. Regardless of your perception of your life, you are inviolate. Nothing can touch the basis of you. You are the gist of My thought, beloveds, and I never lose My train of thought.

No matter where your foot steps, you are journeying to Me. You are on your way to where you have always been and never left, never can.

Worlds can come and go, and still you are. I AM. You ARE.

And so change, welcome or unwelcome, spurs you forward to your destiny on Earth whatever it may be. Whatever your destiny may be, changes in the relative world do not affect your One Purpose of coming to Me and your capability of knowing Who you are.
