One Is Always the Key

Gloria:

Update on Molly, the darling little girl whose physical movement is limited: She had the surgery on her soft palate. She will be in the hospital for a couple more days, and she is doing well.

Nancy, Molly's aunt, wrote:

The doctor told Molly's mother, Diane, he was going to put splints on Molly's arms so she couldn't bend them and put her fingers in her mouth and disturb the stitches. Diane told the doctor if he did that she would remove the splints. The Doctor said, "Listen here…"

Diane said, "No, you listen. Molly is an intelligent little girl. If I tell her not to put her fingers in her mouth, she won't do it."

I think Diane is a remarkable mother.

Gloria:

Dear God, I wonder if the Age of Enlightenment may really be appearing! I bought some paper towels on sale. I paid no attention to the design. When I opened them, I discovered that they say, over and over again: "Be forgiving of yourself and others…Keep your promises…Seek out the good in people." Frankly, I think that is a miracle, God.

God:

Keep looking for the miracles, and you will find them.

Gloria:

Dear God, it was interesting what Julie said about their really being one question and one answer in its many variations.

God:

That is true. One. One is always the key. Simple is the key.

The one question is: "Who am I? Where and how do I fit in the universe? Where is my soul?" And even: " Am I?"

My answer is always Yes. Yes, you are. You exist, and you are Mine, and you are here.

Gloria:

Several brand-new Heavenreaders who live out of state have written that they are eager to hear what God has to say and write it down, and they wanted to know when the next Ask God Workshop is. I will tape this Sunday's local workshop and hope that it can be helpful to people who aren't here.

God:

Help as many of My children as you can.

Gloria:

I bumped into a woman yesterday who may yet take Your workshop, but she had strong reservations because, she said, because she experiences You everywhere, and she doesn't want to try to separate You out. Something like that.

Her reasoning made me glad that I don't think the way she does. Yes, You are everywhere. I don't know enough to even consider that I can take You out of something! I'm glad I don't know theology. I don't care who or what has this theory or that, or what something to do with You is called. I want to be as aware of Our closeness as I can. I do not have enough, dear God, and I want more.

God:

And that is infinity, the rolling waves of more. You want more of Me, and you want Me again and again. You do not stand still with Me. Or, We could say, you do stand still with Me even in the midst of our greater swell of movement.

You have discovered by now that there is always another horizon. In that sense, you never arrive. There is the process of arrival. Your evolution is not static. You don't reach a peak where you balance on one toe. This is another peak that pulls you forward.

There is nowhere to go because you are already here, and yet there is much traveling to do.

I am everywhere. I am discoverable. I am the Infinite found in the finite.

Yes, do not quibble.

Just find Me, for I am yours, and I await you.

You have no territory to protect, no stance you have to take, for you are King of the Castle. You not have to stand your ground like your friend, although you may if you want.

I give you absolution from staying in one place. I say: "C'mon. Keep on. Keep going. There is more. Find it."

You reach your destination. You stand on it. But you never arrive. What is viable in the world must change, and that change is called growth.

Holding off is attachment to where you are. Waiting is holding on. Movement is letting go.

Despair is a form of holding on. Temporal happiness is also.

Climb the golden ladder with Me to Me. Do not fear to take a step.

Gloria:

God, I know people who get into something new all the time, sort of the opposite of those who stand fast.

God:

These seek and run away at the same time. But there is no place to run.

And you, Gloria, be not concerned with other people, for you have much to do.

Gloria:

Mother Divine, you want to say something?

Mother Divine:

I want to say that life is a dance, and it is a dance in place. What else could it be when there is no time, no space?

It is a dance of a moment in eternity in no place at all everywhere.

And yet it is a dance, and you are dancers in this Grand Ballet. Each knows his part and seeks to fulfill it. Each has a cue as to when to come in. Each is the lead dancer, and there is no lead dancer at all.

All dance, all life, is an offering to God. And He accepts all offerings.
