Subject: Buddha Jayanti celebrated
Dear everyone,
Namaste!
A very warm Namaste from the lap of the Everest.
We, HVP, are happy to inform you all that we celebrated Buddha's 2550th Birthday, who was born as Prince Siddhartha Gautam in the foothills of the Himalayas over 2,500 years ago.
Buddha which can mean one who has achieved enlightenment was not only the light of Asia but of the whole world that is illustrious and icon is worshipped by all the peace-seekers.
To mark the pious birthday of Peace Instigator students performed drama, dances, songs and chanting which not only mesmerized the three hundred parents but also the swamis, gurus ( like Sai Bahini, Swami Raghavananda ) and great personalities who attended the program.
Mr. Chinta mani Yogi, the founding principal of HVP school was honored by a national level organization ( Swavalambi Pariwar ) on the very same day due to his selfless service in and out of the country. He blessed the students by sharing the four noble paths of Buddha and told that those paths have to be followed by each individual. Mr. Satya Mohan Joshi, a very well-known scholar of Nepal said that the ceaseless conflict, hatred and discrimination can be eliminated if we can understand the true teachings of Buddha.
Until and unless we have Peace in mind and thought the war, violence, conflict and hatred goes on pushing us back to the uncivilized age. Let us burn the candle of goodwill and mercy at least within ourselves.
May Buddha Bless us .
Jagannath Kandel
