We have just red your message with my husband-he is very good at computer things.  He is learning French and he has the same problem with his computer keyboard. So he is able to offer a solution. He uses some short-cuts via microsoft-word program. We have just written  the procedure and it is attached. I hope it helps.
 
All you have to do apply these shortcuts. In order to remember their places on the keyboard maybe you can prepare a list on a paper and keep it on your desk. With time you will get used to..
