Words are "just" words
But they are a start
To us
Opening our heart
To all
Playing our part
In the world
Living it's Love

Words are "just" words
And if they hurt
If they speak of
Victimization or blame
Of sadness or disdain
Then let us listen and not hide from or run
Not just glaze over or skirt
What they say, why they have come

Words are "just" words
Though there is power in utterance
That can go far beyond mere tolerance
If at first, we find it in our best interest
To take interest
In more than the personal convenience, or inconvenience, of time taken or spent
But in people, of ourselves we would invest and give
Then words are indeed measureless in worth
