Look for the Good

Nancy O. to Gloria:

Dear Gloria, well, I don't like the subject of worms, but I have to say God gave a great answer to Marsha on Saturday, January 29, and one that I personally appreciate.

I find myself dwelling on and reminding myself of past hurts and expectations and disappointments. When I am in that frame of mind, I am retarded in my Godgrowth. But when I am appreciative, loving my friends, excited about ideas and creative, I am in the present and quite happy.

"You and I serve one another," God said to Marsha (become a co-creator with God, as they say in Unity). Wow! The concept is that we have an obligation to expect the good, to ask for the right choice, as well as to take it when it comes.

I find these daily lessons very helpful. I am facing challenges right now. I ask and expect God to help me meet them, and I appreciate the chance to grow and all those who are helping me to grow. Incredible!

Love and appreciation.

God to Nancy O.:

My statement to Marsha about Our serving one another came because it seemed that Marsha might be waiting for Me to come to her. I invite her to help Me serve her.

I say, "Walk over to Me, Marsha," Or, "Arise. Help Me carry the tray. Help Me bring what you want to you." That is co-creation. "Do unto Me as you would have Me do unto you." I wait for Marsha's heart.

You help Me very well. This is your intention, dear Nancy.

Instead of saying "expect the good", say "look for good". Expecting has a certain holding on to it, control, and determination. Expect has eyes for particular outcomes. Looking for the good is looking for the joy and so has an openness. Do you feel the difference? Which feels freer? Which feels lighter? Keep your eye out for the good. Know it when it comes. Notice it.

Another way to look at this is that everything has its good. Even what you don't want has its good. My children do not always know what is good. They often do not.

What I am going to say now is not for you to analyze, but I will tell you that My children usually have placed an order for what comes. In that vein, think of all the good you have ordered. Be grateful for all the good you have ordered, and you will have more good to receive.

Gloria:

Dear God, You said recently that even stealing a car could be meritorious, and we simply don't have the information to know. I thought that maybe the owner of the stolen car could be being saved from being killed. Is that the idea?

God:

Or saved from hurting another. Or it's the repaying a debt. That is the idea. The surface may often belie the truth. There is no way for you to figure it out. But you can know My love no matter what an experience appears to be.

Gloria:

Dear God, I saw a little bit of the movie Rashomon. In the court of that time, everyone sat on the floor. It seems to me just that would make a difference for the whole legal process.

God:

It might help all present to remember their equality. On the other hand, even on the same physical tier, it is clear who the official judgers are and who the judged. They still take their position and authority very seriously.

Gloria:

Dear God, a fairly new Heavenreader didn't want her beautiful comments about Heaven to be published here. I know I don't have to understand, but I don't understand. There was nothing controversial or private, just a lovely expression of appreciation.

God:

Her regard for My words does its work whether her comment is published or not.

Gloria:

Dear God, when someone wants to give me credit for Heavenletters, I feel uncomfortable. I think it has the opposite effect from what they intend.

God:

Tell Heavenreaders to thank Me, not you. Thanking you for your typing is appropriate, but admiring a type-setter for the words he type-sets is not. They thank the author. I am the Author.

I thank you, Gloria, for your attention on Me and for doing My Will, for your typing and sending My words out on the internet. And I thank the readers for reading. It is good to remember that Heavenletters is My gift to My children. You are a simple mailman. Heavenreaders open the mail.

Gloria:

Dear God, a few people have asked to receive Heavenletters less often because it's hard for them to keep up. I don't know how to oblige. I would need more automated systems before I could keep up with that. I also wouldn't know which ones to send; I wouldn't know how to choose one over another.

God:

I recommend that Heaven be read every day. But if a reader wants to read every other day or once a week, he can do that. You don't need to serve Heaven that way. He can serve himself that way.

Get out of the mode of trying to oblige or feeling apologetic when you cannot.

I would also wager that if you skipped sending Heavenletters every day to these few, they would protest! When something surges your soul, you don't want to miss it.

Nancy L. to Gloria:

Dear Gloria, thank you for the bonus Heavenletter. What wonderful letters Diane wrote. They were both comforting and uplifting. I enjoy Heavenletters more and more.

Karen to Molly:

Hello Beloved Molly! So wonderful to have you share with your mom — with all of us too! Now every time I see pink, I must send you love and kisses! And yes your mom too!

Love you and your mom very much.
