Judgment Closes the Heart

Gloria to God:

Dear God, there is something I simply can't bring up to You. I tried last night, and I can't. I am so shocked. I am aware that, if I am shocked, then I'm judging.

God:

As with everything, keep your eye on what you hold high. Everyone comes to Me, and the paths and detours vary. One reason why judgment is a poor choice is that it keeps your attention on what you see as problem. So in any situation that you perceive as a problem, turn it over to Me, and release yourself from attention on it.

Gloria:

This isn't drugs or alcoholism, but it sure seems equally disastrous and offtrack to me. It makes me feel indeed that it's a sad world we live in here, dear God, forgive me.

God:

Open your heart. That is your lesson here. This perceived situation is so hard for you to deal with because judgment closes your heart. It is your heart's closing that is yours to deal with and not the offending situation.

Gloria:

Once You said that sin was in not asking for enough. Someone who leads a life of crime, for example, isn't honoring himself; he fakes himself out, and how can that lead to good?

God:

The offense you are talking about is not a crime. It is not ideal, and it is not your way. Hold fast to your faith in Me. Move your heart away from what distresses you. Hand it to Me. I WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.

Gloria:

Another heavy subject. I overhead someone say — I don't want to say this either — that they had heard it was too late to prevent World War III. That thought hung heavy in my heart.

When I got home, Karen called, and I told her what I had heard. She did not see a catastrophe coming. What she saw was huge past-life war stress in me and in my mother's spirit. Karen said it is important for me to clear out this stress so I can keep my vibration high and allow others to raise their vibration. And Karen started the removal of it, and it may be still continuing, the removal.

Yesterday was a heavy day, dear God.

God:

Keep your vibration high. Release your attention from heaviness to lightness. Swirl Me in your heart, and not despair.

Gloria:

One more thing, dear God. My mother's spirit was present when Karen was doing what she was doing. Karen said my mother was sweet and soft. The thing of it is I didn't know that until after my mother died.

God:

But you know it now. That is the trouble with regret. It holds you in limbo with the past. Sing a song in your heart: "Now I know my mother's heart. Now I know her sweetness. Now I know my love for her. Now I am free, and now I free my mother."

Sing no songs of regret. The other side of regret is learning. Jump for joy at all you have learned. Regret looks back. Look rather to Me.

A Course in Miracles, Workbook Epilogue (cont.):

"…And so we walk with Him from this time on, and turn to Him for guidance and for peace and sure direction. Joy attends our way. For we go homeward to an open door which God has held unclosed to welcome us…You do not walk alone. God's angels hover near and all about. His love surrounds you, and this be sure: that I [Christ] will never leave you comfortless."

Gloria:

Thank You for being, dear God. Thank You for helping me to learn. And thank You for the dear people you send my way.

And thank You for my life and my learning, and thank You for helping me move away from judgment. I pray that I can see with Your eyes.

God:

It is inevitable.

Gloria to Mother Divine:

Dear Mother Divine, well, you know, you think you've really "made" it, are way beyond the dragging of the world, and, bam, it hits you in the face.

Mother Divine:

It keeps you mortal, Gloria; it keeps your feet on the ground, and it keeps you in your place. It softens you, as heat the molten steel, so that you can form anew.

Later…

Gloria to God:

Dear God, how quickly everything can change. That situation I alluded to has fixed itself. That's one thing. And I called Roto-Rooter again, and I didn't pull punches; I stood up for Lauren and me and didn't get too emotional.

God:

You did well this morning. You expressed exactly what you thought. You did it clearly and succinctly. Very good.

Gloria to Mother Divine:

Dear Mother Divine, what would you like to tell me?

Mother Divine:

Saying what you think is taking weights off your shoulders, or rather, never putting them on. Speaking up is instant release. It's not so hard, is it?

Gloria:

It wasn't today.

Mother Divine:

And it will get easier yet. It was fun, wasn't it?

Gloria:

Yes.
