health and illness

You Will Think in New Ways

God said:

There is that angle of thought that all illness comes from the mind. There is much truth in that, yet, in terms of day to day life, it is not so clear nor must it be, beloveds. There is more to illness than meets the eye. There is more to everything than meets the eye.

I have told you to disengage yourself from thinking about cause. There is the sense in which there is no cause. Consider, if there is no past, there can be no cause. When there is no prior, how can there be an after? There is simply whatever is right now.

The Upside

God said:

The upside of illness is that you can get well.

The upside of illness is that you can regard it in many ways. As dire as illness may seem and be, you can look at it as a language that you have not yet understood. You can regard illness as a friend who has something to tell you. Your friend, illness, comes closer, and you can look at him in many ways. You can look at him as punishment, the price you pay for having done something wrong, even when you don't know what you did, and may really have not done anything. Certainly, no one would deserve illness.

Gloria:

Dear God, Bev wanted me to ask You on behalf of AJ, a dear friend, who is having hip replacement surgery for the second time in eight years. What can he do to improve this condition and his general health?

God:

Bev is right to know that there is a cause for everything. Cause and effect are the same. There is an avenue of thinking that equals weak hips.
