Dear God, Serena appreciated your answer yesterday, but she also wanted a definitive answer, like Yes, her boyfriend will come back to her, or No, he won't.

God:

Tell Serena that life isn't like that. I give My children free choice. I do not order Frederick to return to her, nor do I insist that he stay away. I do not command.

What Frederick does has a lot to do with Serena's freeing him. It has a lot to do with Frederick's own dealings with himself and his boundaries that have nothing to do with Serena.

Serena would do better to ask herself, "Is it in Frederick's and my best interest that we unite? If we do marry, will it be fulfilling for us both? Will such a union help us serve You, dear Father? What is it that Fredrick represents to me that I feel I must have? Do I truly desire union or do I relish the sweet drama of wanting to be with him and not knowing where or when? Do I love agonizing over Frederick more than I love living life? What is all this about anyway?"

Serena asks for simple yes or no answers, but she likes complexity. Serena wants to rule the universe and Me and life and electromagnetic fields!

Too much holding on! What is Serena afraid of? That if she doesn't hold on, I will drop the universe?

Serena can direct her life to the degree that she makes choices. She is now making the choice not to moon about Frederick forever, though she isn't yet quite willing to let go of him, of course.

But that is how life is, a question of letting go. Have your desires, Serena, and then let them go. Does that sound familiar?

Do not hold on so tight. Let go of your ideas that block you from joy.

Here are some things for you to try:

Drink tap water.

Don't plan a day.

Go out and go where your feet take you. Instead of your mind wandering endlessly all over (at the same time it is stuck!), let your feet meander.

Eat something that you have forbidden yourself to eat.

Say that you will be imperfect today.

Stop trying to figure things out.

Laugh for no reason.

Give three unexpected kindnesses to three unsuspecting souls.

Pick a flower.

Do something you have never done before.

Do something you would never do.

Walk miles.

Buy a bright lipstick.

Get out of your ruts.

Look at the world differently.

Surrender.

Mother Divine, do you want a laugh? I am just like Serena!

I have a dear friend who has been relocating, and I haven't heard from her in over a week, and I am anguishing (mildly) that she has dropped me, rejected me, forgotten about me, and that I can hardly live without her attention, friendship, and wisdom! I am laughing at myself, dear Mother Divine.

Mother Divine:

That's good! Whether or when you hear from this dear friend changes nothing. As God said to Serena, what is is. Hearing or not hearing doesn't change truth. When there is love, there is love. Near or far, truth stays. Nothing is changed.

Your perception may change, or it may not.

And don't be worrying about your dear friend for she is guided and all is well for her.

Perhaps you have to learn that you can live the same upward spiral with or without her outward attention.

You do know that you and her thousands are always in her prayers, and all she knows how to give is her love, so you are not without.

Remember who your Teachers are. Human beings are Teacher-aides.

God is the true Advisor, Confidante, Sage, Giver of Love, Receiver of Love, Friend, Companion, Enjoyer, Enveloper, Helper, Benefactor. His names are endless, as is His love.

You need to remember God so you remember all He has given you. He has given you everything. Life. Love. Wisdom. Sharing. Joy. Interests. Beautiful skies and so on. What more can He give you? You can only remind yourself of all that He has.

When you remember God, you remember your blessings. That is all. It is better to remember your blessings than to forget them.

As you consciously receive God's blessings, you yourself become the blessing. You become what He has given you.

Tell me, what more could you ask for?

You are spending the riches God has given you. You keep having opportunities to spend His riches. He gave you a carte blanche at the bank. You are the bank!

All is contained within you as all is contained in one leaf or one rose.

What a creation God has made.

And what an adventure you are on. What bounties will come your way today? What gifts from Heaven will you open today? What swirls of love will you make? What shiny pennies will you pick up on the street? What coins will you drop?

What is the meaning of life today?

It is to spend it, use it, pommel it, gorge it, carry it high, spread it, sweeten it, deliver it, embrace it, decorate it, fulfill it, treat it, unfold it, butter it, spice it, warm it, peel it, juice it, immerse in it, blow bubbles of it, fingerpaint it, spill it, throw it, celebrate it, unmask it, finish it.

Today is one of God's bounties for you. Pick it up. It is yours.
