Clear Space for God
Gloria:
Dear Loving God, no matter if it's late at night or very early in the morning, whether I am wide awake or half-asleep, Your words come, and I am so happy and grateful they do.
God:
Tiredness is foreign to Me.
Only resistance makes tiredness.
When someone is in love, how easy it is to get up early.
Now, you and Margaret and a host of others are in love with Me.
To keep the same easiness of love in all your activity, ease your attention on to Me.
When Jon raked your leaves, it was easy for him to do because he did it with Me in mind.
When you do Godwriting, you know you do it for Me. You know you gain from it, but you like to serve Me in this way.
You can serve Me in whatever you do.
You wouldn't have been too tired last night to finish cleaning out your kitchen cupboards if you had reminded yourself your purpose in sorting them out. Your purpose is to make space and ease for Me.
How connected to Me do you feel when you try to pull out one pot and a whole pile of pots and pans clang and fall out of the cupboard on your toe?
Ease and simplicity and confidence in life come from clear space because clear space reminds you of Me.
Does that sound strange?
You are clearing out your cupboards so your counters can be clear of odds and ends and, therefore, clear for Me.
I am clarity.
I am clear space.
I am the space in between everything else.
I am with you in clutter no less, but you see Me better in cleared-off space.
You don't want to have to forage for Me.
Put things away.
Keep Me out on the counter in plain view.
Obstacles are what you have put to block yourself from Me.
Any disturbance in your heart is a way of blocking your view of Heaven.
My children as so used to inconvenience and aggravation that they don't know what they would do without them!
Complicating is from man. Simplicity is from God.
What if I were to tell you that the road to Heaven is smooth? It is. It is the easiest thing in the world!
But My children go out ahead of time and toss nails and glass and turn signs around, and have a hard day.
What if you told yourself that life can only be easy?
Walk the path of life without scanning the road ahead of you and without regretting the one left behind.
What if life is a cream-puff you bite into, but you named it hardtack?
Do you remember the fairy tales where the different brothers meet the same old women and animals in the woods? One brother has no use for them because he thinks only of what he believes is useful to him.
Finally the youngest most innocent brother, the simple one, sees the old crones and animals of the forest as allies because they appear before him, and he appeara before them, and one benefits the other.
This is how to approach day-to-day life.
No money for cab fare? Walk and look at the sights.
A flat tire? You only thought you had to be somewhere else.
You are offered salad, and you wanted steak? Feast on salad.
We are talking here of noncontrol. This is neutrality, to greet what comes without judgment.
The older brothers, the savvy world-smart ones, thought the old lady was a waste of their time and no use to them, for she was in the way.
The younger brother saw that she was a way.
All you come across is life-raft for you.
All you see is a messenger.
Accept messages, and be glad for them.
You have all probably heard that it's good to greet everyone at your door warmly because it could be Christ who knocks at your door.
What if I say to you: "No maybe. It is Christ who knocks."
What if I told you that one of the next ten people you come across has a treasured gift from Me to you?
How would you look at each person you see then? Would your step quicken in anticipation? Would you be annoyed at those who do not carry the special gift you are waiting for?
You know the gift is coming to you. It is yours.
You wouldn't mind at all meeting those who do not hold God's special boon for you because you would know that each lights the way to the one who does.
In truth, all carry God's special gift to you, only you do not recognize.
You think each of these people is a stranger, and that you can only find your treasure in likely places.
Perhaps each person you meet holds a part of My treasure for you, and the tenth person holds only the final piece?
What if I told you that you are the one who holds My treasure for someone else?
And that is what I tell you.
You are My treasured messenger who holds treasure for those around you. If you knew this, would you not be King?
I appoint you King. I say you hold the treasures of Heaven, and they are your gifts to share with others.
Others do not have to come up to you to ask for their treasure. They may not know you have it.
Share whatever brings you closer to Me.
Your heart brings you closer to Me.
Share your heart.
Share Heaven, and the more you share it, the more of it you have. This is true mathematics. One piece of Heaven becomes ten, and you have more, not less.
Keep no treasure to yourself. Do not be cautious.
It matters that you share. It doesn't matter who accepts.
Life is a process. It is not a result.
You are perfect and complete in this moment, so enjoy the ride, and the more the merrier, and the more the faster you go.
Gloria:
Thank You!
God, I hear ducks or geese flying over head right now, and are they a gift from You? Is their honking to remind me of You?
God:
Of course. They migrate and never leave their Source. They say you will hear them again in the spring. They say I go with them everywhere, and they fly not alone but with each other. And they say, even when they are not in your sight or hearing, that you know they still are somewhere else.
