Dear God, it's so clear what the purpose of Heavenletters is. It's so clear what the purpose of an Ask God Workshop is. What isn't so clear is the purpose of the Ask God Continuing Ed workshops that meet once a month. One Godwriter suggested that it was a support group, and that didn't feel right. What is it for? Will You tell us more?

God:

It is a meeting place for Me. It is a support group for Me. It is I you lean on, not one another. The Godwriters come together to share Me, as it is My desire to be shared. It is basic to My nature to be shared.

You are there to support Godwriting. You are there to Godwrite. What subjects you choose to ask Me are yours to ask. But when it comes to discussion, the topic of discussion is My response, not your foibles. I am the subject of Continuing Ed workshops. I am the Holder of the workshop. I call you to it. And I will be the Leader of it.

Each of you shares your commonness. This is truly a roundtable. Each of you is a candle that lights the others, and My flame glows bright. Chatter less and listen more. Look for Me in each Godwriter, in the words I give them, and in themselves, for there are many messages for each of you. Talk about Me and what I say.

Leave off some of your social skills. No one needs to try to conduct the workshop or act as host. I have seen the group as trying to be social and trying to include everyone. That is nice, but not helpful. I will encourage the participants to speak and to be quiet as necessary.

Gloria, put less attention on refreshments. The purpose is not for you to nourish and make people welcome as guests. I am the Guest, and Godwriters are not there for the purpose of eating. You are all there for the purpose of welcoming Me. Serve beverage and peanuts. That's enough. But mainly serve Me by attending to Me.

At the next Continuing Ed session, before you start Godwriting, make yourself into a circle by holding hands. That is how you will embrace Me.

Here is the structure for the Continuing workshops. Until everyone or almost everyone arrives, you who are present, share your experiences of Me and/or share My words you have brought with you.

When everyone or almost everyone is there and sitting down, clasp hands and, if you wish, each make a prayer, silent or spoken, inviting Me to speak, asking Me to help you hear and write My words with love. Or you may wish to express your gratitude of your joy. Silent or spoken expression, as you wish.

And then let Me begin. I will take it from there.

Share My new words, and keep Me with you.

No need to thank anyone. Gratitude goes to Me. And I, in turn, thank each of you for coming.

Make sure you understand that this is not a solemn time. Don't make a production of seriousness. Laugh, have a good time, and be there for Me.

Gloria:

God, this isn't like church or anything, is it?

God:

It is a time to focus on Me as a group. You gather in My Name. But you, Gloria, feel church as heavy, or not honest, as something that is supposed to be one way and really is another or that you are supposed to be reverent whether you feel reverent or not. Just be with Me, that's all. There is no special requirement. Be yourselves, and make room for Me and Godwrite, that's all. There will be more clear focus, that's all. More clear space, as it were. More of My power and glory.

Gloria:

Dear God, the attorney who is helping us become a Corporation Sole included a proverb in his correspondence:

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." — Proverbs 3:5&6

Don't You keep saying that in Heavenletters?

God:

Yes.

Gloria:

I have another proverb from the Bible that certainly sounds like You! This one came printed on a card from Ruth:

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health…" — III John 2

God:

Yes, that sounds like Me.

Keep those two great truths in your mind instead of the myriad little nuisances that you do. What an accomplishment that would be.

What if the world could accept My love and wisdom as real, and follow Me, their Innermost, and know that My faith, My true knowing, fills their hearts like dew in a buttercup? If only My children would put their attention on the cup of Myself anchored within their hearts. That cup possesses joy, peace, harmony, love, unity, all the ingredients of the One God Who calls you to Him.

Dear God, thank You sooo much for your beautiful response to my question yesterday. I will do my best to integrate this idea of worthiness and You. It is so important. It is so profound. I am so grateful.
