Your Own Link to Heaven

God said:

Will you let Truth dawn on you? All you have to do is to let it. It is not by dint of your will that Truth dawns. It is by dint of your letting go of resistance which is no more than letting go of all your down to earth reasons why Truth isn't real and cannot dawn. So long as you maintain the down to earth reasons that prevent you from Truth, you prevent the dawning of Truth. All your reasons are unwieldy yet you wield them like fencing swords. You stab and dab, clink, and make circles with them. Enough of reasons. Set them aside, and really get down to it.

Reasons are an impediment to reason. Reason itself is common sense. Reasons plural, however, are proud of themselves, and keep coming, one after the other. You can keep coming up with reasons. You can keep fishing for them. They long to be caught, and, one after the other, to be hung on your clothesline of thought. Abandon reasons. They make no sense.

The reasons you find tend to be reasons why not to accept Truth. All your reasons seem to keep you down. Your reasons are like minnows who swim to the surface. The surface does not do away with the depths. Whether your thoughts swim deep or not, the depths exist. The depths are underneath the surface. They are not far from it. You can reach the depths. Just dive a little. Reach in. Don't be afraid of getting wet. It won't hurt you.

What do you have to lose by looking Heavenward a moment and accepting what I say?

The depths to plummet are within you. You are the factor you have been leaving out. You accept that great potential exists, but you're not sure you have it. And if you do accept that you have it, what then keeps you from realizing it?

What if it is true that you are a lighted being? What if dazzling light is contained within you? What if you are entirely dazzling light? Are you perhaps afraid to lose the shadows that dim your light? What is it that you fear you would lose? That you would lose yourself to find yourself? Let go of that which shades you from Truth, and your bedraggled heart will soar to heights yet undreamed of. Why, oh, why, must you keep your heart in bondage?

Free the bird of your heart. Has it not been caged enough? Does it not long to be free? Free, it will rise high. Free, it will sing its sweetest song, and all will hear it. You will hear it. You can hold a high note. What you cannot do is keep low notes to you for very long.

Christ has risen. Every day he humbly rose to new heights. Now he pulls you to him. He tells you not to be afraid to let go. He tells you that you are your own link to Heaven. He says that God did not favor him. He says that he favored himself and so he rose to the heights on Earth that man can rise to. And it was all a matter of letting go.

That's all it takes — the letting go of limits that you have previously accepted. You held your hands out for handcuffs, and now they fall off easily, never having been needed in the first place. Never having really been there except in your acceptance of them.

I set no limits on you. Why would you set a limit on yourself?
