Your Evolution

God said:

Become not impatient with your evolution. Look at it as a good friend who just can't run as fast you would like him to. Your evolution paces itself just right. It goes not too slow nor too fast. Just right. You perhaps want to go past some of the stopping places on the way, but your friend evolution knows it is wise to stop and take in the scenery for a while.

It is not that you have to pay dues for your growth, it's not that. Your evolution is not imperfect; it knows it has to settle in. Your evolution will not miss a beat. You are going very fast right now, but, of course, that does not seem fast enough to you, for you are always in a hurry.

Rather than thinking impatiently about your evolution, perhaps think about enjoying life as it is, as it comes to you. Perhaps enjoy yourself as you are right now in whatever place you find yourself.

It is not only the waterfalls that signal your evolution. The gullies and mesas do too.

If your evolution were a horse, the object would not be for you to whip it to go faster so you get somewhere sooner. You can't rush this rising in consciousness that you call evolution. You know that your horse is doing the best it can. You also know it depends a lot upon you, the rider of it, not for pace but for direction.

Have your destination in mind and then amble along. You love it when you are at high speed every now and then, but the plateaus are also accomplishing your mission. They are great help to you. The plateaus are like posts that you tie your horse to. Then your horse is in the right place until the next morning.

Just as, in breathing, inhale and exhale are both equally important. You can't skip exhale. One is not better. Both are. Both make breathing what breathing is.

And your evolution is what it is. Your evolution is not less because you don't happen to see the beauty of it at every moment. Your evolution is a great steed, and it will get you where you want to be. It won't be late. It can't be early. At just the right stroke of the clock, you will find yourself right where you long to be.

There is evolution, and there is your awareness of it. As when you enter a brightly-lit room, it takes a little while for your eyes to adjust, so with the brightness of your evolution. Sometimes it takes you a while before you can see how really fast it is. Welcome your peripatetic evolution. Do not admonish it because you did not see it well enough sooner.

You will experience all glory soon enough.

A farmer knows when to plant. He prepares the fields. He readies them. He knows what he is planting, and he makes conditions favorable to the growth of his crop. He does not control the elements. The sun and the rain come at their own time. The farmer can only do what is his to do. The seed grows on its own. The farmer has reaping left to do.

And so you shall reap.

No need to race. You race nonexistent time. When you are impatient with the pace of your evolution, you are giving obeisance to time.

And so I say to you that all is well, and all is on time. We are meeting right now, you and I, so what does it matter the occasion? Whether it be orientation or graduation, We are One.
