Your Awareness

God said:

When you experience frustration, you are experiencing your unawareness of Me. Something else becomes more important, more immediate, more pressing than I.

Even things that you know are minor can consume you. It doesn't matter the size of the event that distracts you. No matter what seemingly takes your attention, you walked off and forgot Me. You forgot that wherever you go, I go with you. You forgot about Me altogether, so consumed were you in the little matter before you. Of course, forgetting about Me is not deliberate. You just get waylaid by irritation.

In such times, what can We think of to remind you that you have forsaken your God awareness? Perhaps irritation itself can remind you. Let irritation itself be the signal that goes off. "Come back to God," irritation says. "Remember Who You Are," irritation says. "Come back to your Source," irritation says. "Find yourself again."

My dear child, We cannot be disconnected, you and I, but you can leave the phone off the hook at your end. All you have to do is pick up the phone again. I am still here. Never is there a time when I am not.

Sometimes you don't want to be soothed. You would rather have your way. But I am telling you that frustration and irritation are not your way.

Just as you would leave a party where you are not having a good time, disassociate yourself from annoyance. Remember Our association. Return Home to Me.

Isn't it amazing that, time and time again, you would choose irritation over Me? It is laughable, isn't it, how much note you take of troubles and how little, at those times, you take of Me.

Put your hand over your heart, and remember Me. Keep Me close to you in your awareness.

If you do not want to think of Me, or you don't believe in Me, then think of a part of My creation that will switch you to another wavelength. Think of Niagara Falls or a cool mountain stream or a big sky. Only something big enough will take your mind off what aggravates it.

Your attention-span with Me is quite brief. I am not a discipline, but your mind doesn't have to wander off either. But if it should happen that you do wander off again, come back. Come back again and again.

When you drop a stitch in knitting, you unravel back to it, and then go on. How much easier it is to get back to Me! And how much more you have to gain. There is no price attached to having Me a constant. Do the stars cost? Or the Sun and the Moon. No price is asked, and what price could there possibly be? What I offer is for everyone. That is one of the things that makes Me God.

Rather than waiting for an inconvenience to point your heart toward Mine, why not make Me a part of your routine in the first place. Take God-breaks. One an hour perhaps? Let your attention just fall lightly on Mine. Let your heart say, "Yes, there is God." Or, "Yes, here is God. Right here."

Fill your heart with more of Me. Less will your mind be fraught with little matters. It is like changing the size of a font. When you choose a font size, it becomes that size. The same way you have choice in the size and frequency of your thoughts. Choose what you devote yourself to, and you will become it. Your awareness is becoming Mine. So shall it be.
