Why?

sBernie to God:

why do people have so much hatred for one another?
reading the news just blows my mind
all the killing of one another
religions
tribes
races
nationalities

God answers:

Truly, everything I say in Heavenletters responds to this question from one angle or another. Read My words over with Bernie's question in mind, and see the answers appear.

This question needs to be asked. Man's inhumanity to man. Man's foolishness to man. Man's excuses. We'll look at it, this condition of hate.

Hate and anger are always justified in the eyes of the one or many who feel them. But hate and anger are but other names for fear. Without fear, hate would not come into existence.

Fear is not the basis even, for fear comes from a mistake of perception. It is a forgetting of Truth. The forgetter has forgotten. He is sure he is very vulnerable. He comes from an illusion of weakness. Therefore, he must get bigger guns and more guns so that his power may be known, so that he may know it, and that others fear him before he has to fear them.

To those who feel great anger, I say, When you do not truly know who you are, you think you are something else, and you think others are also something else.

You think that borders have something to do with you, that they make you great or small. Among the borders are imaginary lines drawn on a map or the street where you live or the color of your jacket or the color of your skin or the size of your body or your beliefs or a certain look in another's eye that you see as imminent attack. All faulty excuses for your fear that you are no one at all.

You feel you own what is on your side of the line drawn in sand with your foot. If you own it and want it, someone else must want it too and will take it away from you if you let them. This is child's play. War — mass hate, mass possession — is child's play. War proves an enemy. And war is good evidence of how other's thoughts affect you, for all are affected by war.

Think of it, the thoughts of man can even create wars. Thoughts are powerful energy. Use that energy well.

In a sense, even the war-mongers are victims of war. All are innocent. Those who feel hate may be the most innocent of all. Isn't it remarkably innocent to believe that killing and maiming and retaliation are a way to peace and happiness? Those who make war believe they are virtuous in their display. And, of course, to their eyes, the other side started it, caused it, and they had no choice. They do not understand that there are no sides.

When there is hate, it is easy to find an excuse for it. But killing does not assuage the hate because the hate still resides within. Victory does not give happiness but for a moment. Now the ones who feel hate may need another culprit to calm their hate for another while.

And not only do countries wage war, people who are pledged to love and help one another do. Man and wife. Parents and children. Brother and brother. All for a sense to be mighty, all from a sense to prevail, all from a sense to control.

So long as My children believe they must control, there will be fighting. There is no need for control, but there is need for love. Not show of love, but love cast from truth.

We can even say that hate makes war on love. Love is war's enemy, for love is seen as weakness rather than the strength that it is. One who hates is denying the love within his heart. One who hates has lost his identity. Instead of man, he becomes fighter, or he becomes ruler, or winner, or loser. But what has he won, and what has he lost?

I know that within your question, Bernie, lies the question: "God, what can I and others do to bring more peace and love into the world?"

Bring more love into the world. What other answer can there be?

With your question to Me, you have awakened others to their capability of love. All who read this are bringers of love. You are disbanders of armies of hate. "Love casts aside hate."

Love the angry man. Find something in him to love. Not pretense of love. Find something in him that vibrates to you. He has great need for your love. How powerful is love that can even love one who hates. And if you cannot in truth at this moment find that love within you, desire the angry man to know love, and that will be your love.

I do not ask you to speak out words of love. I ask you to love within your heart and send that love from the passages of your heart to another heart that yearns for it.

And if you cannot find that love in your heart, then send My love to the driven man, for he is My child as much as you. He is a child. Restore his identity to him. Send him his identity. Send him love through Me.

Your attention right now on those who avenge is giving them more love.

And is your frustration not less now?
