What Is Heaven After All?

God said:

There is no difference between God in Heaven and God on earth. I am the same God. I am One. I do not make flagrant distinctions. I do not go by whim. I am ever the same. I have no mood swings. I do not pick and choose. I love. I love all.

I do not have a temperament. I do not get angry. I do not wreak vengeance. I love. I love all.

You were made in My image. I was not made in yours. I am God, and you are learning to see as I see, from a far vaster perspective. Come join Me in this high limb of a tree I sit in.

As a Human Being on earth, you are learning your divinity. The circumstances in your life in the world predicate that you learn your true nature and recognize your divinity and begin to express it. You are certainly not here to learn Human frailty.

Come sit here with Me and see as I see. I see not transgression. I see that you sometimes falter. I see that you are learning your way in the world and your way to Higher Consciousness. You are clearing your eyes and heart, making way for love. Higher Consciousness is love. You are becoming more attuned to Love and God.

Listen, Oneness with Me is not something you learn. It is not a study. There are no grades. It is not an attainment. It is a clearing. It is like swimming past debris into clear blue water. As you drop off the paraphernalia of restricted thought and belief, you leave the past behind you, and the future too, and you see more clearly. You see more like Me.

When you see as I do, you can only love. You see there is nothing else in the whole wide world to do. Naturally, easily, you are not charmed by anything else because what in Heaven or Earth can possibly compare to love? In fact, you see that there is nothing at all anywhere ever in the universe but love — there is nothing else to look at — there is nothing else to be.

What is Heaven after all but love apparent, love obvious, love alone, love vibrating with the highest note known to man?

And what is love but Oneness? Already you have a sense of Oneness. You have your finger on it. You know what I mean when I say Oneness. It is beyond Humanness, and yet it is the height of Humanity.

When you are not in a Human body, you know Who and What you are without question. In a Human body, you question.

You do not know how to reconcile Divinity with physicality. That is your dilemma.

Sometimes you feel that this errant body was foisted on you. You cannot believe that you accepted it. You find the idea that you asked for it utterly preposterous. Who in their right mind would do that? It was you in your right heart who did that.

When you chose the aspects of this life on earth that you amicably chose, you were not thinking of yourself and yourself alone. Naturally, you had a bigger picture in mind. Naturally, you saw more than you see now. You were not blinded then. You are blinded now. But you even asked for this blindness so that you would be irrevocably innocent like the lost child in the huge woods who finds his way.

At present you do not feel that you are innocent. You may even feel jaded. You are aware that you can be the greatest sophisticate on earth and yet be innocent of Heaven.

Come, don't hold on so tightly to the trappings of the world. Come, love yourself, and once again, in a trice, find yourself in that supreme state known as Heaven.

A rare gift

Most likely, like me, you have asked certain questions throughout your life. You have asked what life is all about, why you were born and what the purpose of the world is. Like me, you have most likely been unimpressed with many of the answers offered in the many systems of thought that circulate in the world.

In the Heavenletters, I have found answers so much more satisfying than anything else I have found previously that all others pale in comparison. Of all the Heaven letters I have read, this letter is the most clear and succinct and all encompassing that I have seen.

It is a gift to read, savor, meditate on and read again.

like the lost child in the huge woods

A very timely and useful find, dear Chuck. This is what stands out for me:

When you chose the aspects of this life on earth that you amicably chose, you were not thinking of yourself and yourself alone. Naturally, you had a bigger picture in mind. Naturally, you saw more than you see now. You were not blinded then. You are blinded now. But you even asked for this blindness so that you would be irrevocably innocent like the lost child in the huge woods who finds his way.

Intimately connected to this, at least for me, is the question, "Who grants, who denies?" Or "Who is the victim, who is the perpetrator?" I just found this in Heaven #1843:

To some extent, you choose your suffering. You may not choose all the incidents, but the next choice is up to you. Did you think it was up to someone else?

Rather than saying you choose unhappiness, let us say that you may have neglected to choose happiness. You have denied yourself it. You are the one who denies yourself happiness. You may say you face reality when, in reality, you are denying yourself. It is you who tells yourself that you can’t have happiness right now, and you list your reasons. You decide you must continue unhappiness and dissatisfaction. Yet it is you who continues along the same line, or it is you who gets off. The choice is yours. Perhaps you have already punished yourself enough.

You have many reasons for denying yourself. You say it’s because of money, or your wife, or some set of circumstances not to your liking. You have become your own strict parent who denies yourself. “No,” you say to yourself, “you can’t have that. You can’t go there. You can’t do this.” You have a long list of no’s, and you may go to the end of the line before you allow yourself to have what you have denied yourself for so long.

It's absolutely astounding how long the blindness can be kept up even after you have understood everything intellectually. From time to time, looking up with a start, I find I'm still enmeshed in that same old victim consciousness and feeling of utter helplessness and powerlessness. Amazing just how huge the woods can be we agree to get lost in, truly amazing. Sometimes I can only look on in awe.

How durable blindness can be!

Jochen, dear friend, I agree totally with your sentiment about how long "blindness" can continue despite intellectual insights. It seems that intellectual assent (agreement of our mind) is necessary but not sufficient for true change. I suspect that for our lives to fundamentally change, we need to experience truth at a deeper level than our intellectual beliefs. Sort of like taking a new car off the lot and taking it for a test ride.

you in your right heart

Ever more beautiful and powerful. Do Your words grow, dear God, or do I – or is it the same?
