The only purpose of darkness can be to emphasize the light. In this sense, darkness is a nurturer. Consider that it is. Consider that darkness is a blessing. Hidden from view, blessing nevertheless it is.

Where can you go from darkness but into the light? In that sense, darkness is a direct path.

From the illusion of darkness comes the reality of light.

It is not that you adjust your eyes to darkness. It is that you see beyond the darkness.

What can sadness be but a temporary illusion? A visitor in your heart only for a while. A sad stranger who wants to make a home for himself with you and doesn't know when to leave. Most assuredly, sadness overstays its welcome.

Of course, sadness must be some comfort to you, or why would you have it?

You have been locked in time, and, therefore, bounded. Everyone on Earth lives in a time warp. That's just how it is on Earth, and, yet, it is possible to be less locked in. Perhaps do not hurry so much trying to keep up with time. Beloveds, time is much more agile than you. Cleverer too.

Time has given you the idea that it is your master. Why, the clock ticks every minute, as if time is not letting you forget its mastery. Even on vacations, you don't escape time. It is still the metronome running your life. You even have loud clocks that tell you when to wake up.

What is it that you think is missing from your life?

Perhaps it is your appreciation of it.

Perhaps you have overlooked the beauty of your life. Perhaps you underestimate your life.

No perhaps about it. If you do not love your life, then you have underestimated it. You found life guilty of not being what you wanted, and so you sentenced yourself to an indefinite term of something akin to despair.

In the relative world, everything changes. Flowers grow, and flowers fade. Metals shine, and metals rust. Even when there is inertia, change has its way. What is there about change that frightens My children so? Where did the idea come from that change is to be held back, that it is perhaps a little shoddy, and not quite acceptable? Change is the name of the game. Change signifies growing, beloveds.

Where will your mind take you today? What fantasy would you like to play out? What kind of movie would you like to see? What kind of play do you want to star in?

You are not only the audience. You are the play on the stage itself, and you play all the parts. There is not one scene that is not your conjecture. It is not only that life pursues you. You run after it. You run to meet your destiny. There is no hiding from it. You have caught yourself. Even when you run ahead, you still are in the grips of your design.
