Sing an Ode to Life

God said:

What if you saw the world as Divine, how might your life be different? What if you saw the world as a dear friend who welcomed you, what about that? What if you could choose the kind of world you live in, what would the world you choose be like?

One way or another, you do choose the trends of the life you live. If your life is ordained, you ordain it. You see what you imagine you see. I know that life doesn't seem so simple to you. You may feel you need protection. What you really need is inspiration. Never mind about getting a face uplift. Uplift your life. Inspire yourself and the world you live in. Inspire your heart and mind.

I do intend this for you. I work on your happiness, so to speak, as I do work not at all. I may tickle you under your chin or ruffle your hair. I most certainly smile on you. I think of you and see you as you are. You may well have a different picture.

Any downward thoughts of yours that you may spiral – they are not Mine. I take joy in you. You are My joy. May you be joy to yourself and inspire yourself and enjoy yourself. May you keep your eyes looking up. May your outlook be sunny. Why choose anything less than sunny? What is the percentage in choosing gloom? What good does it do for you or the Universe?

Goodness does come your way, and more is coming. Be ready. What can you do to be ready?

You can anticipate the joys of life and not keep them at bay. You don't have to take life so seriously. In some ways, life as it is in the world seems like science-fiction to you. It seems unreal. That's just it. Life on Earth isn't real. There is the absurdity that you die and are no more. Nothing is further from the Truth. You live forever, yet right now you live in the shadow of a body.

While your body is alive on Earth, it is already passing on. Your body and the bodies of others change before your very eyes. Underlying all your presumptions of life, regardless of all the pretense you carry before you as a sword, you may have swept your True Self under the carpet. You live under the rule of a false image of yourself. You keep trying to figure life out, and you believe that life is all a mystery and, perhaps, you don't have much to say for life. You may get entangled in life as if life were a rosebush with thorns that scratch you.

What if life were a lark instead? What if the voice of the world were birdsong rather than the static you play over and over again? What if you construed life as a blessing rather than an interference of your joy?

Often you rage against life, as if life has no right. Begin to see life as a benefactor rather than a trap set before you. Untangle yourselves, beloveds. Wake up to the birds singing full-blast in the morning and realize the murmurings of the cicadas at night. These are signals from the world telling you that all is well.

If only you could trust more than you fear. You rush to fear life when life is the theater you watch. Give up calling life names. No longer bad-mouth your life. Sing life's praises.

You must know by now that your very life is a gift I give to you. If life were an orange, squeeze the juice from it. If life were a work of art, paint it. You are the artist of your life. You are the music-maker. Anything less you think of your life and yourself is a plot you have made up.

If you like turnips, plant turnips. If you don't like turnips, don't plant them. At the very least, don't pick them.

All lives are the same at the same time as each life is unique. Lives certainly appear unequal. Some lives are harder than others, and some lives are freer and bouncier than others. So be it. Each life story is different, even as each life story begins the same and ends the same. Do not wring your hands. Forgo suffering. Sing an ode to life.
