Past and Future Are But Daydreams

God said:

What are memories but thoughts to stop your present life, if only for a moment? Once something was better, or something was worse, so it seems to you, and you go down that road for a while. If you were born new each day, you would not keep stroking old memories, even those that soothe.

They are like fantasies. There is no difference between daydreams of the future and daydreams of the past. They are in the ether. All thoughts are memories put together in one fashion or another.

You have climbed a winding road in life. All the twists and turns are now behind you. Keep your eye on the spot in the road you're driving on now.

Underlying all your past adventures, of course, is the truth of you. But it is not your present personality who experienced what you lived in the past. You know that. You were someone else then, someone you vaguely remember and yet cannot quite fathom. You might as well talk about the novel you just finished reading. It is more current and probably reveals more about where you are now than your recollected past. Your consciousness is higher now.

You are like a star whose light has grown brighter. Today you shine. What matters even a moment ago?

Are you and I not together? Are we not clasped in embrace? Does something else matter? How much does it matter? Although I understand your concerns about your life, you are not your life. You are far more than even that what you would consider an ideal existence on Earth. All your accomplishments are nothing next to the light that you are. Have your accomplishments. Enjoy them. And then forget about them.

In whatever way you perceive your existence on Earth, I will tell you it is ideal. It is the ideal one for you. Do not look askance. Change how you look at your life. If your life started as ashes, you have risen from them, or how else would My words have reached you? If your life started as gold, and slowly darkened, well, then, now you rise from that darkness. The sun rises. It is only perception that says it ever sets.

All that really changes in the relative is your point of view. Whether you are riding the ascending escalator or the descending escalator, there is a point at which they meet. Hop onto the ascending escalator. You are making your life now.

Beloved children of Mine, hearts of My heart, My own Divine Self, what can the matter be? We are inseparable. Is that small comfort to you? In truth, it is the greatest events in the world that are small comfort and last for so little a time.

Perhaps you would just prefer not to be comforted. Perhaps you choose the movie you want to see on TV. Perhaps you choose an action drama. Perhaps you choose a melodrama. Perhaps you choose a comedy. Perhaps you choose a documentary, perhaps a travelogue. Perhaps you choose an old movie. Perhaps you choose a new one. Perhaps you change your mind and go back and forth. Perhaps you think you have to watch the movie that happens to be on right now.

But you can always change the channel. And you can always get up.

Your life is what you make of it. Make it something wonderful. Make it a story of courage. Make it a story of willingness. Make it a great love story. Make it an adventure of heart.

Rescue the world. Rise above the world and rise above the past.

You are always going higher. Nothing can keep you down unless you give your okay to it. Say okay to greater vision and the greater love that accompanies it. You are in the company of God within, and God without. Is that not worth something?

If I was to tell you about

If I was to tell you about the most extraordinary idea I have heard of recently, it would be this:

All thoughts are memories put together in one fashion or another.

All thoughts? Then why on earth do I think at all? Who invented thinking? What is it for when, by its very nature, it is never really on present or current matters???

And worse still:
You might as well talk about the novel you just finished reading. it is more current and probably reveals more about where you are now than your recollected past.

Boy, this Heavenletter really is a relentless one:
Have your accomplishments. Enjoy them. And then forget about them.

And, oh, how sweet at the same time:
If your life started as ashes, you have risen from them, or how else would My words have reached you?
.......
Beloved children of Mine, hearts of My heart, My own Divine Self, what can the matter be?

Where does this leave me? I think I will just be on the lookout for the point at which escalators meet and then Hop onto the ascending escalator.

Beautiful!

Beautiful!

Wow!

To echo Gloria...beautiful!

Jochen...this is so beautiful and relevant. You quoted in part:

You might as well talk about the novel you just finished reading. it is more current and probably reveals more about where you are now than your recollected past.

And I would add to the end of this quote:

"...and your anticipated future."

Jochen, you say finally:

Where does this leave me? I think I will just be on the lookout for the point at which escalators meet and then Hop onto the ascending escalator.

Yes!...and for me to constantly recognize that when this "I" goes into thought...it is most likely jibberish and and a huge distraction from the beautiful immediacy of each new fresh moment! And the reason this diabribe continues is that thats all the mind knows how to do...to crank out a plethora of nonsense...with jaded judgements and comparisons (usually I'm either better or worse than others)....but to cut to the chase:

What I have thought my life to be and what I think it will be is but a fiction, written by a madman...this very seductive voice that I have always thought to be me!

My salvation is when I dare to enter the brilliant, light and love filled immediacy of Now!! (this is the Kingdom)

These are not popular conclusions are they!

Yet I know it is true...for when the channel is changed or the escalator is mounted...the jibberish vanishes...and the Kingdom is revealed!

Blessings to all and thank you Jochen so much for this!! Jim.

a story of willingness

Your life is what you make of it. Make it something wonderful. Make it a story of courage. Make it a story of willingness. Make it a great love story. Make it an adventure of heart.

Today, "willingness" is what strikes me as remarkable about this Heavenletter. What is willingness in a world that taught you coercion and compulsion and force – and to hate them? Has not God been used by man as an excuse for the need to manipulate and to force, has He not been depicted as the progenitor of coercion and force? To become willing again, I believe we have to be more lenient with ourselves, thoroughly confused as we are. At the same time, it seems obvious that we need to be quite clear about, first, the need to have things our way, and second, the means we employ to ensure this. This world can look like a sorry place where everyone is trying to subtly or openly force everyone else including God. I feel it deeply and painfully. But also, therefore, I deeply feel the dawning wonder of courage, of willingness and of love.
