God said:

You have a deep desire to create, and there is much for you to create. Create happiness, love, relationships, art, music, stories, flower and table arrangements. Whatever you do, beloveds, make it beautiful. You can do it. Make your life beautiful.

You are already creating your life. Certainly, you contribute to it. You have some say in the direction of your life. It is not that you can order outcomes, but you can steer in the direction you want to go. You do that with your thoughts, beloved. Your thoughts are the steering wheel.

Where do creations come from if not from your thoughts. Something wants to express, and you express it. Ideas spring forth. Even how you fold your napkin is an idea. Even if how you fold your napkin is not original, it is nevertheless your idea. In that sense, you originated it. You are not the first person to paint with oils nor to choose the color blue, yet you create paintings, and then you look at them, and then you see what you created. Sometimes you are surprised. Your whole life is something you put together. Perhaps it is not exactly what you had in mind. Unlike a painting, you can’t just start another one. But, of course, you can start the same one anew. You change the mechanics of your life by your very intention to do so.

Of course, you are not the only factor in your life, but you definitely are a factor.

This is not to say that you are to look back and see what you could have done differently. That will take you down a blind alley. What you can do is ask yourself what feelings about your life you would like to increase now, and then increase them.

If you want to be more generous, then be it. If you want to be more open, then be more open. If you want to be happier, then be happier. What is it you want to create in your life, then create it. More love? Then be more loving. Have the simple awareness of what it is you want. You cannot commandeer your life, but you can steer it. You can set a dial. Set it now. By the act of considering choices, you reset the dial of your life. You have been doing this one way or another all of your life.

If you are tired of confrontation, now set a dial for affability. Feel how it is to agree with someone else, and feel how it is to simply not mind when someone is opposed to what you think. What does their opposition have to do with you? If you want to be less sensitive and less inclined to take things personally, you can do it. When someone is negative toward you, that was their choice. Slough it off, beloveds. Their choice does not have to be yours.

Go where you feel friendly and honest. Don’t go where you feel unfriendly or not quite honest. Take a new route. You can even go somewhere you have never been before.

You are your own life, beloved souls. You can take it any direction you like. Even if you are in a prison, you can change your life. Whatever the routine of your life, you can change the quality of it with your thoughts.

Seasons change. The sky changes. Temperature changes. Even cinder blocks change their position. Why wouldn’t you change yours? If you desire to change the timbre of your life, then go ahead, change it.
