The Theme That Runs through Your Life

God said:

No matter how much you may love your past, you have to step out of it.

No matter what, you have to step out of the past. You just can't keep on lingering there, beloveds. Holding on to the past is putting constraints on yourself. Holding on to the past, whether happy or unhappy, makes you sad. Now, there is nothing wrong with being sad, yet holding on to the past is an indulgence. It doesn't get you anywhere. It immobilizes you.

Take Your Grace Back

Well, you certainly are a mixture of the Divine and the Human. Sometimes it seems to Me that you accuse and defend yourself at the same time. You are the prosecutor and the defendant. Believe it or not, you are more divine than you are human. Oh, yes, you focus on the human, and you do not always seem to come from a place of divinity. Because you do not always come from divinity doesn't mean that you are not it.

Your humanness covers a wide range. Your divineness does too.

Leave the Game of Unhappy Memories

God said:

The cure for all that ails you is to move your thoughts over. Some thoughts belong with My divine sons and daughters, and some thoughts do not. Accept this modality ahead of time, and you will be steering your thoughts. You will round them up almost automatically. Your distraught thoughts will go into a truck, and your uplifting thoughts will go out into the green pastures where they can chew their cud.

Making Your Way through Snow

God said:

There is an expression that says you get what you deserve. The fact is that sometimes you do and sometimes you don't. It is more truthful to say: "What you get is what you get." What does deserving have to do with it?

Oh, of course, sometimes you bring something on yourself. You were driving your car, and you looked at cows by the wayside, and the next thing you knew, you had an accident. You looked away and, therefore, you may undoubtedly be responsible for the accident. Yet I will not accept the judgment that seems to go with, "You deserved it."
