HEAVEN #1944 The Oneness of Love March 19, 2006

God said:

Instead of excitement, seek calmness. Even in the midst of excitement, be calm. Let enlivenment be always, but, well, excitement is another thing. Excitement is more like running on empty. Buoyed by a gust of wind, your plane flies up and then is let down, at the mercy of the winds.
With calm, you glide, and glide some more.

Choose calm even in the midst of excitement. You are not seeking to be blown away. You are not seeking turbulence. You are not seeking stormy waters. You are seeking calm waters.

Being happy does not require excitement. Let your view of life be exciting. Daily welcome the dawn that comes. Daily be ready to welcome life and what it holds. Life is not really old hat. Your choice in life is not excitement vs. boredom. Life comes in many colors.

Steady excitement would be like your whole house painted red. Red is wonderful, but your whole house?

Life is your home, and you don't build your home on a volcano.

Build your home by the lake. Ride in a rowboat or a canoe on still waters.

When you swim, do not thrash. Float in the stream of life. Lie on your back. Look up at the blue sky. Let the water and the sky reflect each other. You do not have to turn yourself upside down.

Do not seek to reside in a maelstrom. Slide down waterfalls.

Just know that excitement is not the key to life. You are.

And yet you are attracted to excitement. You are even attracted to stories of mayhem. You may be inclined to choose the roller coaster over the Merry-go-round, feeling the Merry-go-round is a lesser choice. Why is that? How can wild speed be more thrilling than peace? Mayhem more thrilling than love?

And yet you know that love issuing from your heart is the most thrilling of all. You know the enlivenment of love. Why, then, would you choose a B movie? Why, then, would you choose an action thriller over love?
Why would you choose anything over love? What can possibly come close to matching love?

Build your life so much on love that no Siren can lure you away from the state of love. Anything that is not love is less than love. Wayward emotions are way less than love. Love opens. Hate, jealousy, fear - they close. Do you delude yourself that negative emotions are exciting?

You are a Being with a heart that is meant to stay open. Your heart needs no props. It just needs not to be closed.

Do not look to gasp in life. Look to breathe deeply instead. Do not shake life. Meet it. Do not run away from it. Enter it.

Be a companion to love. Accompany it. Do not oppose it. No need to create tension. Need to enjoy life. Life is not to be counted by the speed of your heartbeats. Walk, don't run.

No need to love madly. Just need to love. Let love be the natural giving that it is. Hold the door of your heart open to love. The door does not have to swing back and forth. Through the same open door, the breath of love goes in and out. Unlike your breathing, love goes in two directions at once. Love in and love out at the same time is the natural flow of love.
Love is not separated. Love is wholeness that knows nothing as separate from itself. This is the Oneness of love. This is you.
