Gratitude and Abundance

Gloria to God:

Dear Father of Goodness, what is the meaning of life?

God:

The meaning is to live it. Follow its path. Grow up. Give kindness along the way. The way of life takes you to Heaven, and so you find your way back to Me.

Gloria:

Are we like a kite here on a string?

God:

You could say that, but it would not be accurate. More like a kite set free. More like a kite going where the wind takes it, while, all the while, I call it to come back to Me where it can stop pursuing one gust of wind after another.

What does the kite seek? It seeks My voice. What do I seek? Your ear, so that you can hear Me.

Of course, there is a golden cord that connects us, and that is made of love.

Gloria:

Dear God, Ken sent a beautiful unexpected note of appreciation for HEAVEN. It made me very happy. I would think Your approval would be enough, and yet…

God:

When truth comes to truth, hearts are filled.

You have the Ocean, but you also like to have the waves lap the shore. Consider yourself the shore that contains the Ocean. The waves that come in and out remind you of the Ocean.

Remember, your joy is Mine. Ken's response is to Me, and it happens to be through you. How joyous to be My messenger, My receiver, and My giver. That is what My children are.

Gloria:

Well, God, that kite in the sky wants other kites.

God:

That kite in the sky wants Oneness. The kite says, "Come, other kites, I want to see who I am. I want to see what I look like. And I want you to give me some God."

My children build altars to Me in all their activity.

They build a fire to Me.

They place logs.

They light the fire, and all goes up in smoke to Heaven.

Gloria:

Karen asked me if I ever had God experiences when I was a child. None that I know of. I was oblivious to You, God.

God:

Karen asks a very good question. The answer to it is always Yes. And, yes, most of you are oblivious. Unawareness of Me — that is oblivion. Oblivion is beyond forgetfulness. It is denial of forgetfulness.

Life is your path back to remembrance.

Life is your lifting of denial.

It is the tune you whistle along the way.

It is your experiment.

It is the chemistry lab.

It is a construction site.

It is a letter being opened.

It is a tree you climb.

It is a trail you follow like an eager hunter after prey.

It is connecting the dots.

It is washing clothes, folding them, sorting, and putting them in their place.

Life gives out samples, and you taste. Some you like, some you don't.

But you go on to the next.

Gloria:

Dear God, I have a huge rash on my face. It hurts, itches. My whole face is swollen with it. My eyes are half their size, and I look like a pig. Karen thought it may be anguish coming out.

God:

The thing to know is that it is coming out. Crying used to make your face swollen. Now the uncried tears find their way out through the skin.

Gloria:

Because it is on the face, does that mean there are things I need to face?

God:

We could say that all you could not face in the past, you have faced, and now it releases.

Life is unexpected, isn't it? The last thing you expected was a swollen inflamed face!

Know that like everything else on earth, this too shall pass.

Gloria:

I wondered if this rash is giving me a tougher skin, and I'll be less sensitive.

God:

When you look at life as it is in the moment it is, there is nothing you need a thick skin for. You don't need skin for protection. Thick-skinned, thin-skinned have to do with the past, which you want to erase as it goes. Only past could make you think you need a thick skin. The present moment with Me is love, and you want to let that in and out freely.

Gloria to Mother Divine:

Dear Mother Divine, what would you like to say?

Mother Divine:

How wonderful you will feel when this rash is gone. You never knew to be grateful for clear skin and unswollen face. All the things you never knew to be grateful for.

Among other things, you are learning gratitude. Gratitude correlates with abundance, so you are learning abundance.

Gratitude is recognition of what you have. The realization of gratitude cultivates abundance.

Gratitude is the rake, and abundance is the field.
