An Everyday Sort of God

Gloria to God:

Dearest God, when Glenda the artist gave her talk, she said that Jesus said in effect that by our present actions and thoughts we are making our future, either creating Heaven or setting ourselves up for lessons. I understand we create our lives. At the same time, I wonder. I also understand that sometimes what happens to us is someone else's lesson. Jesus did not think: "Oh, I am being crucified. I did something wrong. I should have done something else." His experience was for the rest of us, not the crucifixion but the resurrection.

God:

The truth is that all that comes your way has good in it. Calling it payment or reward depends on your interpretation of events, and interpretations are often whimsy.

All you really know is what comes your way — and you may not even know that.

Notice the good and it will multiply. No one learns lessons by himself. It is everyone's lesson or, you can say, everyone's reminder.

When Jesus surrendered to Me in the totality he did, his life became service to Me and consequently service to My children.

The same way, My love letters cannot be kept to yourself for very long. Who are they written for? You and others who read them and for those who do not read them, for they will also receive through those who do. The messages are in the air waves, and others pick them up too, in their fashion. My love letters are dropped from Heaven all over the world.

Gloria:

Karen has emphasized that anyone can make their own live connections to You and Mary.

God:

It requires no special skill.

Gloria:

She said people don't stay with it because they do not feel worthy. And You have directly told me that anyone can receive Your letters, by the desire and by the asking. Karen also tells people to ask, and they don't even have to hear an answer; it is answered.

God:

Attention on Me brings a shift. My attention on you shifts you. But My attention is always on My children, no one more, no one less.

Gloria:

Karen said most people are waiting for a big lightening bolt from the sky to announce You.

God:

Yes. And I am an everyday sort of God. No fanfare. No marching bands. No fireworks. And no crowds lined up to watch, for, you see, I am already there.

Gloria:

God, Karen is teaching me a lot, helping me to be aware and to honor myself. I have also had great masters teaching me. But Karen did not have a Karen or a master to help her. She learned all by herself; that is, directly from You/Mary.

God:

It is all within.

Gloria:

Like the neutrality that Karen teaches. She has helped me to realize that learning comes through awareness, that one can consciously learn even qualities like neutrality by paying attention. Like You, it doesn't have to just arrive!

The neutrality Karen makes me aware of is the same as the equanimity the Bhagavad-Gita speaks of. Karen learned this from paying attention to You and life.

God:

She came into this life knowing it. She reminded herself of it.

Gloria:

When I start to pick up doubt from someone regarding HEAVEN, it is their doubt, so why should I pick it up? If I am vibrantly in communication with You and Mother Divine, I am continually lifted up by You, then why on earth would I let someone's doubts jiggle me at all? It makes no sense.

I also want to say one more thing for the record. Because I am blessed to hear You and feel You, doesn't mean I feel worthy, God. I am delighted, grateful. I count my blessings, but I am not aware of feeling "I am worthy". A sense of worthiness doesn't have to come first. Did You come to me because I wanted You so much?

God:

Yes. And you dared to want Me and wait for Me like you would a rainfall after a long drought. And you waited in the rain for me.

When I came, you didn't take My arrival personally. You were glad, but you didn't puff yourself up. You didn't think: "Wowee. God speaks to me; I did it!!!" You just knew I had spoken. I will tell you, although you have much joy from Our communication, you make no big thing about it. You let it heal you. You do not take it personally!

That is neutrality. That is how it is. What befalls, befalls. What doesn't befall, doesn't befall. You are not controlling. You are an innocent receiver of what comes to you. Karen's arrival in your life came by itself.

Being neutral is being realistic. There is nothing you HAVE to have. Being neutral is knowing truth.

A Course in Miracles, Workbook Epilogue:

"Your Friend goes with you. You are not alone. No one who calls on Him can call in vain. Whatever troubles you, be certain that He has the answer, and will gladly give it to you, if you simply turn to Him and ask it of Him. He will not withhold answers that you need for anything that seems to trouble you. He knows the way to solve all problems, and resolve all doubts. His certainty is yours. You need but ask it of Him, and it will be given you."

Gloria:

This sounds just like what You were saying!

God:

It does. And it is.

Gloria:

A Course in Miracles sometimes talks of the Voice for God or Voice of God rather that You Yourself. What can the difference be?

God:

If it is the Voice for God, consider it Mine. This is a technicality. I am seen as sitting on the mountain top. I am meditating, as it were. My mouth does not open and speak. My thoughts and being are turned into speech through an instrument of sound called the Voice of God. God stays on the mountain top, but the Voice of God speaks on another layer of Creation. To all intents and purposes, you are right; it is the same. It is a technicality.

On another layer, Karen is a Voice for Me, as are you. I am voiced through you, but you hear the Original. Think about that.

Gloria to Mother Divine:

Dear Mother Divine, and your voice?

Mother Divine:

The same. Voice perhaps played on another instrument with a variation of frequency or tone.

Gloria:

Are you the Voice of God?

Mother Divine:

I am. I am God's Voice with a certain quality. I am God's music. I am His love, His mind, one version of it. One casting vibration of The Vibration. Another technicality. Love is love. Never mind about words.

Gloria:

Dear Mother Divine, in whatever shifting is going on with me, I am finding less pleasure in watching TV. I usually love Hercule Poirot, but I couldn't watch it last night. I also found I couldn't seem to focus on that spiritual money book.

Mother Divine:

You have a different focus that is giving you more pleasure.
