A Bridge across the River

God said:

What do you want, beloveds, that you don't already have? And what will you do with it when you get it?

Whatever is happening in your life, happy or sad, fulfilled or unfulfilled, you want to be raising your consciousness right up to Heaven. You do not raise your consciousness with a lever, not even by dint of will. You raise it by your intention and by looking up, not down, looking up, not where you've been, but looking up. As you look up, more of the universe gathers around you and lifts you into higher realms.

It is not really that you raise your consciousness. You invite it, and you allow it. Your consciousness will be raised, not by effort, not by practice, not even by My Will, although, of course, that is My Will, but by My love. I offer you a canoe to lie in. Come. I will paddle the boat you lie in, or, perhaps, tow it to shore.

You push the button. You set it off, but you do not make results happen. As on your computer, you press a key, and then it is done. You press Shift, and capital letters appear. You press Backspace, and backspace is done. All you do is press the button. And all is done by an unseen force.

In life, you press the keys. That is the most you can do. You press, and you let go. You have to take your finger off the key so it can do what you have bidden it to do.

The Unseen Force accomplishes all, All.

You can relax. You can lie back. Let go of your entanglements, beloveds. All is accomplished. All that is left for you to do is to lightly press the keys and watch.

How hard does a tree work to grow tall? Not at all. It works at it not at all. A tree simply looks up to the sun, and so it grows to it. It is so simple. The tree has nothing to do but stretch its arms. A tree doesn't complicate its growth like some people We know. It doesn't take lessons. It favors growth and allows it to happen.

Effort is not your ticket to freedom. Effortlessness is your ticket, and it is electronic. From effortlessness, life miraculously appears.

You don't think I worked at Creation, do you? I desired, and what I desired came true. I desired you, and you appeared. It is like I pulled a light chain, and the light of a light bulb went on. You are a creator. It is easy to create. Have you thought it was hard? Thinking it is hard will make it hard. The lesson for today is Easy does it.

And sometimes there is nothing at all to do.

But I am not telling you to be lazy. If you are going to build a table, you will have to hammer nails. You created the table when you desired it, thought of it, planned it. It was all done before your hands went to work.

If you are building a bridge across a river, first there is the vision, and then the bridge is forthcoming. There will be surveyors and engineers and machinery and workers to pour the concrete.

When We talk of building a bridge to Heaven, first you envision it, and then unseen hands will build it and carry you across. In truth, no bridge is needed except to convince you that you are crossing it. No bridge is needed to get you to where you stand now. Imagine where you are now. That is your bridge.
