The Glow of Heaven

God said:

You have had moments when everything you look at is beautiful. You have had moments when everything you looked at in your house was a still life ready for an artist to paint. Your eyes are the artist.

The contents behind a door take on an unimaginable beauty, the boxes piled, just as they were stacked, a magnificent tower haphazardly constructed so that it might frame beauty for you. You thought you had put the boxes there until you could empty them. Now you discover they are there so they may receive the sunlight of your eyes and become a vision of your heart.

Clutter on a table takes on new light, and you see that, no matter how carelessly laid there, beauty arranged it. It dawns on you that everything out of place is in place so that your eyes may behold it and exclaim its beauty. Meanwhile, an awakening in you is stirred.

You have had moments when every landscape held inescapable beauty. What a brush God painted with, you realized, and your heart sang and leapt. You cast beauty on that which always was beauty, and beauty alone.

What a sculpture that tree over there is, and what an irrepressible and inexpressible color is the sky it is pasted on!

And I, God, looking at you, what do I see? What can I see but beauty? What else is there on My palette?

Faces of all the Human beings you see, when seen with an artist's eye, suddenly take on the hues of masterpiece portraits. Each one so intricately displayed, so precious in a momentary moving still life of life. Each personage is unmoving, and yet you see that they entered and that they will exit, but in this moment of exquisite beauty, they are still. They are still and they are beautiful because yours eyes alit on them.

Your eyes are like the wand of a fairy Godmother. Your eyes lend sparkle to everything in the world. Your eyes are the wash that make the colors on the cheek clear. Your eyes erase shadows and reveal everything as it is, as originated by the Originator of All, as created by the Creator of All, as displayed by the Displayer of All, as written by the Author of All.

You are beginning to see as you have never seen before. You are just beginning to see that which is before you. Nothing is changed but you and how you see.

This is not from effort. This is from seeing what previously your eyes did not. Now your eyes see beneath tarnish. Your eyes are tarnish-removers. After all, it was your eyes that put the tarnish there.

Even from a little crack of light, you can see the Sun. And that is what you do now. Wherever you look, you behold the Sun. You push the shoulders of the world away and up peeps the Sun for all to see as you do see.

Your eyes cast love on all the sights it sees. This is the natural act of sight. This is no embellishment. This is seeing what is. You are the mirror who reflects. And you are what is mirrored.

Your eyes cast beauty on what is already beautiful. You change nothing, yet by your revealing, all is changed.

Throw away the glasses of the past you have been wearing, and look through My lenses. Oh, yes, this is Heaven. This is Heaven you see. Heretofore, you kept it from your view, and now, well, now, no matter what direction you look in, no matter how close or how far, all your eye can see is Heaven and its glow.
