Dearest,
I just came out from a bookshop I gave Heavelentters "Love letters from God" book one, and it was rather a tale of how our world really need the light of love.
I have ealier posted that I gave this book to a bookshop owned by a catholic church, and the Rev. Sister in charge told me to keep the book for a review. She said this will allow them know if it is the kind of book they would like to stock in their bookshop.
So this morning I went to hear what she has to say, maybe they have resolved to order the book (Please note that I did not put any sales pressure or demand that the book must be bought through me, I only wanted the book to have more presence in my country), then came the religious thing I talked about in my earlier post "The Journey began", she said, well , Ekene, I don't think we can have the book in our bookshop.
she continued....... is this Heavenletters an organisation or what is it? My answer .....Heavenletter is not an organization in terms of another movement, but yes an organisation because it has to do whatever thing it has to do in well organised manner.
She continued..... well we already have more spiritual books and would not like to publish or reprint more books on spiritual issues for now, I think the one we have is enough and has covered most of the spiritual issues, and infact we don't always like to go outside catholic theology and teachings, and I think the book does not have "imprumtur" (whatever that means).
All the way I listened, and after I said, Sister, I think what you are saying is that this book does not fall into the accepted catholic doctrine or it is not something you think you can have in your bookshop.
And her answer was, Well, Yes!
Then I left with a big smile, with joy and happiness that at least she was able to read part of it, and have decided that it is not something that falls into the catholic setting, but she did not tell me that what she read was conflicting with the truth of what we are "LOVE".
She said again, that you know, some people will write something just to make money, and that the way they will present it will somehow appear like the truth, but that it will only seem to be truth for thoes without the knowledge of theology.
I told her that, this book is not really about just making money, that its a way of reaching thoes who can't read from their computer and who do not even have access to the internet. That at least money was used to print the book, and some how the book has to pay for itself.
Anyway Dearest One, I didn't argue and analyze, I was just happy that she never mention that what she read is not the truth.
Like I said before, I'm headed to another bookshop and I trust someone will surely go for it.
I just check for the website of the bookshop http://www.paulinebooks.com.au/ after I left the bookshop, I see that the one I went to is one of their many branches.
Dearest, we can do it, let the intention continue, I'm off to another bookshop..
With gratitude and blessing.
