This is how you lose yourself in order to find yourself. In your simple service to Me, you blossom. You are not thinking about finding yourself. You aren’t thinking about blossoming. You are not even thinking of service as a means to come closer to Me. Your thought and service become one. It is not even that you think of what you can do to serve Me. It’s more like there is a step right before you, and you take it. All this is without questioning or researching or analyzing.
You are not thinking about what is the best thing to do nor what is the most you can do nor the least you can do. It’s just that you see something before you that asks to be done, and you do it, much in the same way as you might pick up a piece of paper on the floor on your way to somewhere else. You do not think you are a hero to pick up a piece of paper. You are not thinking of yourself at all. You are not thinking at all, and yet you carry Me in your arms, and you discover, as if by chance, that I am uppermost in the regions of your heart and mind.
I am not concrete, and yet I am not abstract, and yet I am more real to you than all that the world holds dear. It is not that your heart does flip-flops. Somehow, unbeknownst to you, your heart already has flipped itself over. It turned itself inside out, and yet there was no inside nor outside to turn. There was no show of hands nor show of hearts. Your heart was casual, doing what hearts do. This is the heart in your chest as it lives for Me simply because there is nothing else great enough to live for. There is no choice to make really. It is not like a choice between apples and oranges. It is more like making a choice between living life or assuming a life. Who would want to play a role of someone who shops and strives and who isn’t you at all? And so you choose life as you gravitate toward it.
At some point, you may see that you chose a certain fork in the road. You didn’t even know. Later you may see you made a choice. It was not contrived. Even with your eyes closed, you made a turn in the road, from which there is no going back. No going back because who would want to? You chose the road to My heart. No, you did not even choose the road. You chose My heart. You rose to the occasion of My heart. You stepped right up to My love. You betrothed yourself to My love. You gave allegiance to My love. You kissed the hem of My love, and you knighted yourself.
There was no grand ceremony. What ceremony could possibly equal your act of acceptance? What ceremony could possibly represent what took place and is forevermore indelible in Our hearts? Your heart was branded, beloveds, and the Word was God.
The blood of love flows through your heart, and there is no stopping it. Once you were anemic, and now you are red-blooded. There is no stemming the tide of this love that surmounts everything, floods the land, reaches the highest mountains and the lowest vale.
You have been conquered. There was no battle, and yet you were conquered. You didn’t even surrender really. You simply discovered that you had a heart of gold, and that, in being overtaken, you had won.
