It seems to Me that I often have to pull you out of the doldrums, isn't that so? Sometimes you go on in life despite life, so it seems. You may see life as out to get you, not a foe exactly, but perhaps a trickster. Life does indeed hold surprises for you. Will you consider being enchanted with life?
You know, beloveds, life is what it is. Let life go its way, and you go Mine.
You may feel like life's pawn, but you are waves of the Ocean. Ocean waves stay heartened whether they are cresting or not. Whether the wave swells high or becomes a ripple, what does the wave care? It is a wave, and it knows it is beautiful.
Would that you could know, really know, how beautiful you are, how beautiful you are, with or without accoutrements.
You are the apple of My eye. That has to count for something. It's not nothing that I AM and that you are the fruit of My vine.
When a mountain climber goes to climb the highest mountain, he is not disheartened because the mountain is steep. He loves to climb.
Would that you would feel that way about life. I ask you not to be afraid of it. I ask you to befriend life, help it along, be its shining star.
Welcome life in all its colors. Walk straight and go around the bends. And if there are puddles, why, splash in them. Be the little child.
When you go on a picnic, and it rains, still you went on a picnic. What matters if it rains when you had the joy of going on a picnic? Now you pack up and get out of the rain. That doesn't have to hamper life. Life is still good, beloveds.
We come back to not taking life personally. Life is not out to get you. Life is out to bless you. Life is here for you. Life is a great gift I gave to you, and I ask you to befriend life through thick and thin and be loyal to it.
If life were a runner who runs races, and doesn't always win, does that mean you would turn your back on life? Are you only loyal to winners? What kind of loyalty is that? This is a deep question I ask you.
It seems to Me that life doesn't give up on you.
Consider life a puppy who nudges you and wants to play. Sometimes the puppy gets rambunctious, and sometimes the puppy sleeps in your lap. All the time, a puppy is just being a puppy. Let life steal your heart the way a puppy does. Your love for the puppy isn't based on what the puppy does. You love a puppy because you love. Even when the puppy chews your shoe, your love for the puppy continues. Even when the puppy ruins your carpet, after a few protests, you take it in your stride and forget about it. You love your puppy when he is an angel, and you love your puppy when he is a rascal.
Think of what a life it is with puppies and kittens in it.
Think of what a life it is with you in it. Think of it, beloveds, you have life. Life! Is there anything like it? What other opportunity equals life? What else has such dimensions in a field of dimensionlessness? What else is such a continuum. And what part do you play in it? Cast yourself, beloved. Take the role you want and run with it. Accompany life. Be its lifelong partner.
