Whatever limb of the tree you stand on, you are standing. You are someone who stands. You get up and down, and you stand. You are a wayfarer in a journey of importance. By sea or by land, it is your journey. You may be the seaman who swabs the decks and throws the swill overboard, and yet your presence on the ship is more significant than you know. You may not know its importance at all. You may think you are the least of the least.
You may be a pioneer in the West. You may simply trudge along, and yet you play an important part in the journey. You must admit that you play a part. It may even seem to you as a nothing part, and yet your part is integral to everything. It is certainly more important than you perceive. You may have accepted that it is not important at all. That shows how much you know.
Well, you know it is important to you, yet you are not always noticed, and oft times when you are noticed, it is only to be noticed by someone who is barking orders at you, and you hasten to comply, and you hasten to keep up. You deeply wonder what you are doing on this ship of life. You deeply wonder what voyage you are on.
Whether by ship or covered wagon or hot rod or limo, years later that simple voyage suddenly seems precious to you, and you wonder where it went. In whatever way you walk through life, you are walking through it, and you affect every other walker as well, and every other walker is affected by you. The runners and the ships' captains are also affected by you. The person diametrically opposed to you in theory or across the world gets a rumble of you. He does not know your name, and yet he is affected by you, and you are affected by him.
You do not take your land journey or sea voyage alone. You do not. No matter how you may seem to trail along, scuffling your feet, you are a sprinter, and when you soar across the sky and hop from star to star, you do not hop alone. You always have the stars, beloved. On land or on sea or hurtling through the sky, no matter what galaxy you hail from or fly to, you are the Universe entire. You are the pilot. You are one who flies. Your flight matters. It is of the utmost importance. You certainly are of the utmost importance to Me. I pull you by the hand, or I hold you by your toe, it doesn't matter. We fly across the Universe together. We have never been apart.
Even when you are in a canyon, I am with you. Even when you don't know where you are, I do. You are always always without exception with Me. Beloveds, if I know where We are, and I know where We are going, can you be lost? What map do you need? What star do you need to go by when you can venture forth and go by My love, My essential love for you? You are the gist of Me, beloveds. You are the gist of Me, and it is to Me that you tell your story. I listen with rapt attention. I fill in the blanks. I help you write new chapters. We are everything together. We are together, you and I. How much then does it matter where you think you are or who you think you are? You are with Me.
