Gloria to God:
Dear God, I get the impression that what goes on in human life is not necessarily a reflection of what is going on in the Divine. I mean, the correlation is not what we would think.
God:
Yes, there is nothing that has to be. Jesus was crucified, and his consciousness was high.
Your human life does not have to be one way or another.
That is why you must not judge.
You cannot.
A seemingly unresponsive retarded child may be living more of God than his teacher. The law-breaker may know more of Me than the saint. You do not know. You cannot know.
You cannot know about another, and you cannot know about yourself. You cannot measure your divinity in earth terms. Of course, you cannot. What would the gauge be? Money? Career? Good looks? Brilliance? Honors?
Foolish gauges. Unworthy gauges. Inaccurate. So do not gauge. Accept.
I am within all. Those you approve of and those you do not. You cannot figure it out. Do not try.
Stop judging.
Oh, My, how My children judge.
You weigh and evaluate everything.
What a waste.
You take a crooked ruler and you measure and are proud of yourself and your measurements.
You think too little of others and too little of yourself. Look at it another way. Think more of yourself, and others will look better to you. You won't have to pull them down or pull yourself up.
What a relief that would be. Just to see. Just to be. Just to accept. Just to love. Just to enjoy.
Make that your task. Just to enjoy.
Take today. Call it Joy.
Carry your joy with you.
Consider everything today a form of joy.
You stub your toe? Laugh. It's joy. You have a toe.
Someone frowns. Take joy in it. Isn't it funny? Here is the day God has given, and someone frowns? Enjoy their foolishness.
Enjoy your own.
Consider today that nothing has to be done. Nothing. You don't have to weed. You don't have to water. You don't have to do anything.
Take today as a day to walk through.
You are going on a picnic in the woods.
There are no clocks.
There are no ultimatums.
You are good whatever you do today. You are good whatever you don't do today.
Your goodness is not dependent upon what you do.
You are not dependent upon goodness.
You are dependent upon joy.
Your assignment today is to take joy. Take it, make it, carry it, give it, fritter it, bubble it, bounce it. The purpose of today is joy. You succeed in your mission to the extent that you leave off cares and worries. Drop them. Have a Who-Cares-Anyway day. Take today off. Do you want to sit and read? Then sit and read. Do you want to go to yard sales? Go to yard sales. Enjoy them whatever they are and whatever you find or don't find. This is a No Expectation day. A No-Have-to-Be-Anything day.
This is My day. I am giving it to you. You cannot waste My day. Correction. You can only waste it in worry. It cannot be wasted in joy. Will you do as I ask?
Gloria:
Yes.
God:
So what is it you have to do today?
Gloria:
Enjoy it. Have fun.
God:
You realize that your day today may not be different from any other day, and yet it will be different. What will make the difference?
Gloria:
How I am setting out. What I am looking for.
God:
That is just right. How you set out. What you are looking for.
Today you are hunting joy. You are a joy-catcher. A joy-finder. A joy-giver. Today you are an ambler through life. Today there is no timetable. Today you take a walk through a flower-filled field.
Today you consciously take Me with you. I want to enjoy today. I want to see joy through your eyes. You will do that for Me, won't you?
Gloria:
Yes.
God:
You won't forget Me, will you?
Gloria:
No.
God:
Today you are taking Me on an excursion, and you are going to show Me the sights, and you are going to explain everything to Me in terms of joy. You will take Me by the hand and show Me a merry day in your life. Let's go. I am ready.

Abby:
Dear Gloria, Jona, and Heavenreaders, what a terrific question that was about dating on October 4! I've been wondering something very similar myself lately, and it was so soothing to read God's answer.
Love to all, Abby, 20
Bev to Heavenletters:
Thank you for the message about "Heaven" yesterday, Ocober 5. It is very beautiful.
Nancy L. to Bev and Heavenletters:
Dear Bev, thank you for your wonderful question that stimulated a beautiful answer. I would like to nominate this one for the Best of 50 God book. Gloria. It gives perspective to us as we wallow through life with the up's and down's and silly concerns we have.
As I read it, I was trying to think of my family that have passed on, and I tried to think of their very essence without their bodies and bodily concerns. It will be bliss to meet them on the other side and experience only the oneness and love.
And yet it makes me relish this experience that I am having on earth and realize that every thing and every relationship is precious.
Thank You, God. Thank you Gloria for what you bring to us every day.
