Nancy O. to God:
Dear God, our Heavenly Father, many times you have told us just to love. We actually know that is the answer and we do not doubt You. But for many of us it is incredibly hard to wake up in the morning and just love. What do You suggest for us to do that would bring us closer to that state of loving that we all so desperately seek? Some say meditation, some say appreciation, and all of these are helpful, but I still am more unloving with those I meet through the day than purely loving. Help!
Your wishing-to-be-loving daughter, Nancy O.
God to Nancy O.:
My dearest Nancy, love is not something you try to do. Love is a state that already is. Let go of the interference, and My pure love will shine through, and you will be aware of it. One morning you will wake up, and you will notice that you are love and in love, and there will be no way to separate your love from Mine.
This is nothing you have to achieve. Love is something you will notice.
What keeps you from present awareness of full love?
Unwinding thoughts of the past. Beliefs that block the true picture. Looking to measure quantity and quality of love, whether love coming in or going out.
The child wants to grow taller. He looks for his growth. He stands himself up against a wall each day, and, alas, the measurement of his growth is not there. One day he will see his growth. The measuring did not hasten it. It was happening anyway.
Know that you are growing in consciousness of love. The love itself cannot grow because it is already full. The expression of it can ease until nothing compresses it.
Acting love is not love.
And yet you can pause a minute and look for opportunity to love. Ask yourself, "What makes my heart quicken? What gives me joy?" Look for that which pleases you.
Multiply those little moments.
Seeking to give love opens the gates. That little intention sets the wheels in motion. Seeking to receive love tends to close the gates intermittently as a censer might.
Know that there is a well of love within you that seeks to offer itself.
Seek for joy, for when you are in joy, your love splashes over its banks. When you are in joy, what can you express but joy? Love is not separate from joy. Love is not duty. It is not an act of will. Less than joy is less than love. After a while, expression of love becomes its own joy. Jesus, even on the cross, nevertheless expressed My love.
Although love cannot be contrived, there are situations where you can think: "If I were a truly loving person, how might I respond to this situation or this person now? God tells me I am a truly loving person. What if I really were?"
In this way, you may see alternatives that had not occurred to you before, and you may find an honest way that pleases you to express your love. Honesty is a key to love.
A rose gives love, would you agree?
But a rose makes no effort to give love. A rose just is a rose.
It hasn't tried to be a sunflower.
It hasn't ever judged itself, even lightly.
It is busy being a rose.
Let yourself blossom like a rose.
Know first you are a rose.
Then let yourself be it.
You are a rose in a fertile field.
The rose you are is good enough.
More than good enough.
You are a rose that I planted.
The Master Gardener planted this rose of Nancy O.
What more can you be than a rose God planted?
I chose you to be a rose.
I chose you to be what you are.
What can you do but be it and grow in consciousness of love?

Polly to Heavenletters:
Hi, I heard about HEAVEN, Love Letters from God, from a friend of mine, Tina. I am located in Pennsylvania.
I am confirming that I did receive HEAVEN and very much enjoyed reading it. I am excited about receiving Heaven and, yes, I would enjoy participating with comments and questions. I have told several friends about it. This is much needed by all. Thank you.
God to Polly:
Welcome. Well come.
Gloria to God:
Dear God, I woke up this morning feeling anxious, heavy anxiety about I don't know what. I was also aware that all I had to do was to come down here and start writing to You. I have noticed that even before I actually write and hear from You, my intention to go to You begins to ease my heart because I know that You will restore me. You are like a fix to me, dear God. I must have You.
God:
Be addicted to Me. Be addicted to My joy, peace, and harmony. This is one addiction that does not control you but releases you.
Gloria:
Although I can speak to you during the day and hear wonderful things from You, for me Godwriting is It. It engages me in a way that fills me more than other communication with You, dear God. Maybe that's not true; maybe it's just that my experience of You is more sustained in Godwriting.
God:
That's what it is. More sustained. Writing down helps you focus. And, let's face it, Gloria, Godwriting is your thing.
