Abby to God:
Dear God, from the first day I learned about the practice of genetic engineering, I have disliked the idea of it. It seems to me so foolish and potentially disastrous for people to try to create what You did not create anywhere in nature by swapping bits of DNA. I certainly wish that if our food must be genetically altered someone would research the possibility of harmful side effects before mass marketing it, or at least label it so that we could be free to choose.
Many scientists are talking about possible benefits of genetic engineering, but until recently I could not see any. Yesterday in biology class I learned how people who have diabetes used to get their insulin from other animals such as cows and pigs, but that this could sometimes cause insulin shock when the body realized that the insulin was not its own. However, scientists have successfully genetically engineered insulin that is identical to our own so that this would not be a problem.
I'm still not sure what to think of genetic engineering in general. Is this something people should not play with? Or could it really benefit the world in some ways? God, I am very perplexed about this.
Abby, aged 19
God to Abby:
Leave this to Me, dear Abby. This is not a situation that is yours to solve. This is not on your shoulders. You cannot tell another what is his place to do or not do. People do what they want to do. You can control, to the best of your ability, what foods you personally will eat. You can express your point of view, but this is not your cause.
Your growing in love and consciousness will contribute much to a growing world. The more of My light radiated in the world, the more the world creates from love and not lesser motive. Send great love to the genetic engineers and proponents of genetic engineering, and do not fear so much. Fear gives power to that which you fear.
Everything that happens in the world — what you see as good as well as what you see as bad — swims through the ocean of life and raises the tide. The individual and collective rise to meet Me. This is inevitable, no matter how much winding in the road. Just as it is in individual life, so it is in collective.
I cannot tell you that genetic engineering is good or that it is bad because how I see things is different from how you see. I do not see good and bad. I know it is good for you to send My love wherever you perceive error, and also where you do not.
Know I am always taking care of you. Rest in My arms. Keep your thoughts high, beloved Abby.
Do you feel better now?
Gloria to God:
Dear God, an old friend of mine, Linda, forwarded a message from the Dalai Lama. I want to include a few things that I thought were outstandingly Your truth. I did not include what I thought was not:
"Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck."
"Spend some time alone every day."
"A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life."
"Share your knowledge."
"Be gentle with the earth."
God:
Good.
Gloria:
Some of the things I did not include certainly seemed to be from ignorance. How does a beautiful soul give so much truth and yet also give, in my opinion, less than truth? Here is an example of his advice that I know You would never say in a million years: "Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it."
God:
I would say: Don't judge your success. Don't try to measure it at all. Don't even think in terms of success. I would say: Just look at the love and joy you experienced and gave. Look at the love and the joy.
And, you, Gloria, look at the love and wisdom that this leader represents, and never mind the rest.
What the Dalai Lama is really saying in this statement is to remember Me. He is saying: Don't wander off for baubles that mean nothing when you can have everything.
He knows what he means.

Nancy O. to God:
Thank you, God, for that measured and reassuring response yesterday. I am trying to stay calm and turn everything over to You. I know that everything you are telling me is true, and I accept it all. This man holds nothing over me.
Anything that is taken from me is NOT given. Only I can give of my own, although others can take. In this I do have control, although, as you point out, there is no need for my control, since I am in surrender to You.
I thank You for all that I have, all that I am, all that I give and all that I receive. Your peace I accept.
Thank you.
God to Nancy O.:
You are welcome, Beloved. And you are right. There is no need for you to control. There is need for you to let go. You will like it, Nancy, letting go of control. You will fly forward, for you will be letting go of what holds you back.
Tina to Friends and Heavenletters:
Some really great stuff in yesterday's Heaven (about Nancy O. going to court) that would surely help anyone with releasing and letting go of the past; freeing themselves from victim consciousness; any mental derailment from a sense of wellness; or attachment to judgment of any kind. Just take the words "court …" out and replace that with whatever might be disturbing your peace. It occurred to me that this would probably work for loss of health as well.
Good tools here for some serious spring cleaning.
Love and light.
God to Tina:
Thank you, Tina.
