Judy to Gloria:
Dear Gloria, I want to ask God about the February 4 Heavenletter in which He said to you that we "choose what we experience" etc. I want to ask God about this.
Is it that we make choices and reap the consequences of our actions and thereby learn and evolve back to pure being, or do we choose nothing, God gives us our thoughts, our feelings, our experiences (all experiences of pleasure and suffering) in a deliberate manner to fulfill His plan? Thus, we are not responsible for anything.
I want to clarify this in my mind — what is real? Do we have free will and ability to choose or is everything the doing of God? Are we responsible for our actions, or are we to surrender all action, thought, feelings to the Will of God? Is it possible to surrender, or is surrender, too, God's will?
Thank you for your attention.
God:
Dear Judith, do not hesitate to ask Gloria to ask Me a question on your behalf, but ask the question directly to Me, your Heavenly Father. Gloria transcribes. She is like the court stenographer. She can read back the words spoken but not answer the question herself.
There is value for you in addressing Me.
Addressing Me in itself is a kind of surrender.
That little surrender is a kind of knowing that you are worthy in My sight. So, next time come before Me, dear Judy. Look Me in the eye and talk to Me.
Say, "Dear God." Say, "You." Say, "I." Say, "I would like to ask You about when You said…" Just the same way I talk directly to you now. And what I say to you, I say to all My children. All of My children are precious to Me. You are precious to Me, Judith.
And what you ask, you ask on behalf of all, because I have one child. That one child yearns to know Me. That one child yearns for Me.
You think you want to be able to understand. What you really want is to know Me. When you experience Me, My presence, My love, comprehending won't be a priority. When you have an apple in your hand and take a bite of it, you don't try to understand the apple and how it can taste so good and be so nourishing. You just savor.
Trying to understand is a kind of a practice duel with Me, dear Judith, a friendly duel, but nevertheless a probing. Trying to understand shows that you want to believe in My existence, and may even believe, but you see me across from you, facing you, perhaps not with you.
The concept of free will seems opposed to the concept of surrender. But surrender frees your will, Judith.
I gave My children free will. I do not make them surrender. I ask for their return to Me. I offer it. When, how, and all those questions are up to you. That you will let go of illusion is your destiny. That is truth. It is your free will, although you may not be certain of that as yet. What you really want is to enter My heart. And your soul knows that. Your mind may not.
I am the Great Adventure, Judith. All this other — they are excursions.
You are on your way to Me.
That is inevitable.
I am at peace because I know you will come.
You are not at peace because you are not sure. Because you are not sure that I am and that I love and that I love you and that We are One, you dissemble.
You want to be whole. And that means with Me. I am the Real, Judith.
Gloria:
Dear God, Judy's two-week trial subscription is still running. She has already renewed, sent in questions, and she has taken the Ask God Workshop! She may be the fastest Heavenreader of all!
My thought was that Judy is a good decision maker. She doesn't stew her decisions. She makes them and doesn't wait. I said she was a fast decision maker. She said she was impulsive. This difference in perspective was very interesting to me.
God:
Judith, like you, was taught to look at the unfavorable. When Judith will look at herself in My light, she will feel lighter. My light, My vibration, makes My children feel lighter. Light lights and light lightens.
This is the sort of thing I mean when I say you choose your experience. More than the experience, it is what you make of it. It is how you weigh it. Better to be than weigh.
Gloria:
When I met with Judith at the workshop, she brought in her answers to the spiritual journey questionnaire, in which she told of a dream:
Judith:
A dream came to me last night that was so beautiful. It was in response, I think, to the letter that I wrote to Gloria the day before asking about free will and predestination.
It is not intellectually clear to me yet, but it left me with a very deep feeling of the answer. In my dream, I understood evolution (personal transformation) to be like the fish swimming back to their spawning place. Their instincts bring them back thousands of miles from the deep ocean to the small strip of beach, or stream, which was their birthplace. They do not "know" where they are going. They do not "decide" to make this journey. It is God's plan — Nature — that is in control and has predestined that this journey will be made. It is Nature that plants this urging — this urgency to return. And this instinct to return to the spawning ground is connected with the ecology of all life. Likewise, their sojourn in deep ocean is fulfillment of God's plan.
I am still allowing this awareness from this dream to filter down. It tells me that nothing, in fact, is of my own creation, my own mind. My mind IS God's Mind. He owns it — "lock, stock and barrel". I am beginning to feel happy about this. There is an inkling of relief with this dream and a sense of belonging to a Great Plan.
Here is a prayer I wrote about this (prayers are not usual for me):
Dear God, my life is like the salmon returning to the stream bed in which they were born. I too, am returning to the stream bed from which I was created. I feel that I have come full circle and now am returning to You. Like the Salmon, this is not my doing just as the salmon decide it is time to spawn. You direct me, just as You direct every cycle of life. I look to the return with excitement and amazement. My instincts are Your plan, Your direction. It is my instincts which call me Home now.
God:
My Judith, it is your truth that calls you Home.
I do not own you. I simply gave you everything I have. It is yours from Me. In fact, dear one, you and I are One, so what is Mine and what is yours are the same. We share everything.
Gloria:
Was this a Divine dream that Judith had? Was it from You?
God:
It was from the depth of Judith's heart and soul which knows Truth. Since her heart and soul are from Me, We can say that the dream was from Me. It is also possible I sent angels to whisper in her ear, and she heard the whispers as a dream.
