Gloria:
Dear God, the new Heavenreader's question is: How to connect with you more clearly. She wants to hear what You say, and yet she cannot seem to. She thinks she just may not get quiet enough. She is someone devoted to You, God, and wants Your guidance.
God:
The first step is desire. The second is willingness. The third is release of preconceived ideas or ordering. This is the same as removal of effort. Some of My children try so hard, they squeeze Me out of their range. They expect Me to appear in certain ways. They expect that this experience will be lofty, as though I would arrive as a magistrate, when, more likely, I arrive as a peasant or a straggler at the end.
Usually there is no parade. My arrival is not thunderous or heralded at all.
In fact, I have been among you forever, so there is no arrival at all. I am so familiar to you. I am like old slippers.
You may first notice Me as a tiny almost unnoticed impulse.
You do not HAVE to hear Me at all.
Sit, look for Me, and I will enter your awareness. Ask that you may hear Me, and then release your request. Don't hold it tight.
I am no less in your life whether you consciously hear Me or not.
Gloria:
Dear God, when I did a workshop in Pennsylvania last year, everyone — there were seven — did receive messages from You right then. It was so simple.
God:
So simple I am often unnoticed.
You, Gloria, can sit down with this Heavenreader and lead her into her reception of My words. Let her call you to sit with her. Remind her, I am not a momentous occurrence.
Gloria:
Rarely now, as I start writing your words, I have the momentary thought: "What is this anyway? Are these words going anywhere?" Like the other day, when You started to tell me about the sky's being blue, that feeling came over me. But I just go along with You, and it turns out fine. Way at the beginning, when I was filled with doubt and hardly felt secure with any of it, You gave me love and wisdom regardless.
God:
Regardless is a key word here. To hear from Me is natural. The heart does not keep My identity away, but the intellect, the overblown intellect, denies Me.
Let not the intellect be the holder of the key to the door through which I enter. He uses the key to lock Me out rather than to let Me in. Sneak past the intellect. Leave the door open, and let him sleep.
The intellect does not stop Me in any case. It stops your recognition.
There is not one soul on earth that cannot hear Me. It is My Will to be heard. And that is enough to say.
Gloria to Mother Divine:
Dear Mother Divine, were you somewhere yesterday? I wasn't able to even form a question to ask you.
Mother Divine:
I was not away. I just felt to be silent. Rather, I wanted to look at you rather than talk. What is on your mind?
Gloria:
Sometimes I am in great bliss. I am sailing along with you and God, and then I get hit with someone's negativity, and I am pulled down. Not always. But I seem to want to talk only about God, hear from God, and anything else seems like an intrusion.
Mother Divine:
Before your day starts, ask God to help you keep your frequency high, and not allow anyone's pain to become yours. Their unhappiness is their choice. It does not have to be yours.
Gloria:
And then I have my own! New storm windows were installed in my office last fall. One is too tight, and the storm window will open only a little, and it's hot now.
The guy who installed them says he will fix it, but he never has time. He will do other things here for us, but not that. He tells me he's thinking about how to fix it, and he will do it, but doesn't know when. He says he's under the gun with other work commitments. He also thinks that I have enough ventilation from the other window in my office. He thinks it won't make much difference, and that it's just psychological with me. I feel like such a jerk.
Mother Divine:
Write this man a nice letter and tell him what you're telling me. He will come through. You will feel better. He will come through in any case.
Gloria:
Why does something like this aggravate me so much?
Mother Divine:
Because you give away too much and regret it. Put your thoughts back on God and HEAVEN.
