CM Yogi came to Sedona as part of a tour of the US. He stayed in Sedona from July 2- July 4. Chintamani gave a beautiful talk at our library one evening and described Nepal and the various cultures there and his schools. He has 3 schools there in Katmandu totaling about 1200 students. He also has programs for street children and a program to help with literacy for women. He also discussed spirituality and his more ecumenical approach to religion which I whole heartedly agreed with. During the talk, we would just start singing a song Baghan..(sp) of his praise and love for God. So sweet. Although Im sure his schools could use more funding, he did not ask for any money but for our prayers.
The final night he was here, the 4th of July, My wife Marie and I had him over for dinner. Marie made some food that resembled Indian food and I think he liked it. He had a very sweet time...just seeing where the conversation and the occasional silences led us. He very much loves God and carries a very beautiful presence of the Divine. I never heard him say anything bad or wrong with anything...personally or in the world. He is a very beautiful ambassador of Love....and he is always smiling...and always positive. I am still...and will be in touch with him via email. He sends this message to you: Jimi Ji: "Say hello and send love to all of my friends at Heavenletters". Love and blessings, Jim.
ps...after Sedona, he went to San Diego...then up the coast to San Francisco, Oregon and Washington. He flies back to Nepal on the end of July...and will be returning next year! I think his main reason in coming is to spread world peace and to help with various schools that are part of different Nepalese communities in the US.
