Wondrousness Has a Name

God said:

I am a most wondrous God, and I do wonders make. You are one of them. It is a miracle that you, made of wonder, are unaware of the wondrousness that you are.

How could one such as you be created and yet not recognize the gold you are made of? How can that be? It is a miracle of sorts. It is perfectly inexplicable. Even I don't understand it.

You, made of My light, stand in My light, and, even so, you look for a lamp to turn on. You, who are made of My magnificence, look for something to adore or buy in a shop, all the while ignoring your own splendor.

Even when you adore My Majesty, you feel yourself unworthy. Even when you comprehend that My Magnificence is within you, even when your mind comprehends that you are My magnificence, you still consider yourself unworthy. For some peculiar reason, you revel in your unworthiness.

Humility does not revel in unworthiness. Quite the opposite. Where is the humility in ordaining yourself unworthy when I ordain you worthy? Where is humility when you consider yourself one of the lowliest? That is not humility. That is pride. No longer take pride in your unworthiness. Take pride in your worthiness, and then you are truly humble. Knowing magnificence is humility.

When you know you are in the Presence of Greatness, you feel humble. Debasement is not humility. Greatness is humility.

Humility need not be named. It must not be named. Words are so finite. The best words are finite. Words are finite, but not what they aspire to acclaim. What does the word "love" say about love? When does the word "love" even come close to what it represents? What word is enough? Words aspire, and that is the best they can do.

Words are brave to try to represent greatness. Words are sweet strivers. They seek the right one of themselves to express greatness in one aspect or another. No matter how noble, words fall short. But the greatness that words struggle to acclaim — that is never missing.

No matter how well-intentioned words are, lies are often told with them. And lies are believed, often by the one who utters them.

Perhaps celebrate one day on Earth without speech, and there will be more honesty in the world. The more honesty, the more humility. Perhaps humility means honesty.

The God in you has great power. When you identify yourself as your individual personality, then you may hasten to take on greatness. When you believe yourself bereft of greatness, that is when your ego comes into play. It thinks you need puffing up. When you know your intimate connection, when you know your Oneness, all fraudulence disbands.

Silence gives you space to know. It doesn't allow you to run away or hide. Have you not been running away from many things and hiding behind others? In noise, your mind is active, registering thoughts a mile a minute. But wondrousness and humility are silent companions. Even in outer silence, there is great value.

When you see wondrousness, an ah of appreciation comes from your throat. Ah is a sound heard round the world. And you are an echo of it. This ah of appreciation is a high sound, and it strikes a chord in you. Which strings on the guitar of your heart do you want to strum? High notes, please. Play high notes.

Humiliation is of the ego and it has no relation to humility. Debasement does not make you humble. Hum My song of the universe, and you will float on the greatness of humility. Humble is when you don't think about it one way or the other. You just are it.
