What Would You Like to Fill Your Heart With?

God said:

Don't worry about being rash, and don't worry about being plodding. You will come to the perfect balance. Sometimes you rush in, and sometimes you wait too long. You will catch up to life without rushing and without plodding. Life isn't something you have to catch up with. You just have to step in, the same way you step into a dance, or the way you jump rope, or the way you so welcomingly enter a pond on a hot summer day. It doesn't matter so much how you enter. It just matters that you enter.

You find so many occasions to chastise yourself. Let occasions take care of themselves. When one dance finishes, another begins. Attend to the steps for the dance you're dancing now, and never mind whose toes got stepped on in the last one, and why you wish you hadn't or they hadn't. But that is what you do a lot, isn't it? You too often strew the path you have finished walking on with regrets.

Stand in rose petals instead.

Perhaps you do not have to mend yourself.

Perhaps you are the perfect you right now.

If you would let go of regrets, perhaps you would be more perfect right now. Surely you would be happier.

What would you like to fill your heart with? So take out the regrets and replace them with something more lovely to deal with.

All of this is to say what you have heard innumerable times, and that is to relax.

What are you tense about? Only what has already seemed to have happened or what you imagine might happen tomorrow or years from now or perhaps even what will happen later today. What else but thoughts makes you tense?

Even when you are possessed with stage fright, as soon as you are on the stage and speak your lines, the fright is gone. You stand tall when you are on stage. It is the off-stage that concerns you.

You are concerned with how you feel before, and then you fret over what you will feel after dependent upon how others view your stage appearance.

You have heard much about the present moment. Do you know what the present moment is? It is a glimpse into Eternity. In truth, the present doesn't exist any more than the past and future do. But Eternity exists.

In Eternity there is neither rushing nor plodding, no here nor now nor later nor before.

Action is the name of the game on Earth. Action is movement, and everything is moving in life. Even as it stands still, it is moving. Life shifts itself so that you may see better. Life shifts itself so that you have room to grow. No need to hasten nor push life back. Only need to enjoy, and to enjoy yourself, the experiencer of what you perceive.

It is part of Human life to act, observe, and be. Allow yourself to be more. Simply be. There is not tension in being. When you allow yourself to just be, you are reuniting with the love in the universe. It does not have to be flashy. You do not make it. You simply rest in it. You allow your Being to Be.

You set aside the fray of the world. Your heart does not have to be so much of an object of the world. In truth, it is the subject. And you are the subject of the world. You are always the subject.

Be in love today. Just be in it. Sink into it as you would a tub full of warm water. Sink into the Being that you are. And that is how you rise. That is how you rise.

allow your Being to Be

Perhaps you do not have to mend yourself.

Perhaps you are the perfect you right now.

This is a bit much for one who feels so deeply and hopelessly broken, dear Author of Heavenletters. For one who feels a complete failure and ashamed of himself in so many ways.

But I confess there is much appeal to the idea that none of this matters. Not to be concerned with any of this, is that what You are saying? I feel it is, and my mouth drops open in awe. Why awe? Because this has been said many times in Heavenletters and I assumed I understood! I thought I knew what is important and what is not. No, I didn't know, I still took it for granted that life was about mendig myself.

How many tiers of understanding are there until you can say, "Now I know it's not about the perceived person at all."?

I also confess I would have liked a shiny and pleasant and successful personality. I invested quite a few years and bucks in that project. Even during my Heavenletter years I still tried to become something more presentable. It's hard to let go of that.

But I get it now, God. The message is to be all right with whatever is the case on this plane, and to remember. Not being all right with circumstances on this plane, you will forever remain too busy to remember.
