The Ocean of God’s Love
Hum to yourself: “God loves me. I love God.”
More lyrics will come to you: “God and I and all the souls in the world are One. Oneness is All, and All is Oneness.”
And then think to yourself: “This is the miracle of life. I am just discovering it. I feel God’s love as if I were drifting on a lazy lagoon. Everything is so calm and peaceful. Hurry does not exist. There is no pace, only Being. Being adrift on Being, I am so in awe I can hardly utter a sound. I sing a soundless song. I am the song singing itself. God is my every thought. I am consumed by God, which means He gives me away. I consume God, which means I give Him away. All this is without fanfare. The more I fan out the love of God, the more of it I have. I am overcome with my love for God, or is it God’s love for me that overcomes me?
“No matter. Details matter not to me any longer. Explanations matter not. Being with God on a branch of a tree matters to me. First comes love, and then comes more love. I have been contracted to love. As if we were handcuffed, love and I are inseparable. I have been given a great gift of love, and I wave it freely. All who would avail themselves of my love may have it. All who would not avail themselves of my love will also have it. My love is airlifted and dropped onto Earth in order to sustain love and all of Earth.
“Love is the dew that rises and the mist that falls. The whole consistency of Earth is love. Anything that is not love is an illusion.
“I am a baker of love. My purpose is to stir love. I stir with the spoon of my heart. I am not pursued by my thoughts any longer, for my heart has reached ascendancy. My beautiful heart pools itself in love. I see love everywhere, and I know it is mine as I know, at the same moment, it is everyone’s. Love is a communal pot, and all can reach in, and all can take, and all can give. The difference between give and take is not known. How can infinite love be known as going in one direction or another? Love can only be known and not diagnosed.
“Love is in its full bloom. It is a rose that departs not from the heart of God. I see God’s heart like a huge rose that breathes in and out like fishes in the ocean. God’s love swims like fishes, and all drown in the ocean of God’s love. The life guard is also love. He rescues us by dipping us in further, and we gasp in love. We are never out of love. We are besotted with it. Eyes open, or eyes closed, we are covered in love, but love is no cover. There is no difference any longer between the ocean of love and the fish that swim there. All is merged. From the beginning, all was One, and Oneness is, and Oneness swims in our hearts and captivates us.
“Nothing approximates love. From this day forth, I abandon anything that does not soak itself in love. I abandon dry thoughts. I abandon worms of thought. Only God’s thought serve me now. I take His thoughts from the candy dish of love He holds out to me. The sweet love bursts into song, and I find myself singing: ‘God loves me. I love God. God and I and all the souls in the world are One Oneness is All, and All is Oneness.’”
