Even on the surface, you lead two lives, maybe three. There is the life you portray, and the life of your heart, and the life of your mind. All of them may diverge. None of them may agree.
As you are growing, the difference will be less. Soon your overt life and words will agree with the inner workings of your mind and heart. You will not say one thing and think another. Your heart and mind will meet. Your words and actions will concur. You will no longer have second thoughts or mutter under your breath. You will truly be open to life without preconceived ideas. There will be no fooling yourself nor another.
Looking at your life from a different angle, you may have two threads that run simultaneously. One thread spontaneously weaves your joy. You have joy. You do enjoy. You laugh. You engage. All is well. It’s true.
And then underlying the spontaneous joy is a running thread that reminds you of the passage of time, holds to the past, that tells you this good moment will not last, and so you simultaneously feel sadness equal to your joy. This underlying thread may make other comments as well. But in all of them, it tells you that this joy is temporary.
Some of you may have grown up with sadness dominance. You may have inherited it. You may have been taught. You may have learned that life is toil and trouble, that that is the reality of life.
And then yet too another stream runs through that may tell you that neither one is true. Sadness isn’t. Happiness isn’t. All made up.
And yet underlying all the contradictions am I, and I tell you that the only real thing is love. I tell you that you are made of light. The contrast between what you hear Me say and what you see in the world are almost too much for you to bear, and so you gather another sadness to you. You feel so sad that you do not always experience joy. You feel so sad that you see a distance between what I say and what you see. You know there is so much more than what you apparently live day by day. And yet when I speak of Eternal Joy you do know exactly what I mean, and you yearn for it, how you yearn for it.
Sometimes you feel that I hold out a bunch of candy for you. I let you savor it, and then you may think I hide all the candy behind my back and that I keep luring you further and deeper into a hunt for this celestial candy. You want it so much, and you get so near and yet so far.
Be glad even then that you know such candy exists.
Go further and know that what I say is true. The sweetness you seek lies within you. I do not hide it from you. You hide it from yourself. You beguile yourself. You put a spell upon yourself. You hypnotize yourself that you must wait to experience all the Truth that I tell you about and that deep down you know is so. Still you deny yourself.
Do not take Me to mean that you can snap your fingers and have all of Heaven appear this instant. Yet I do want you to know that you do have all of Heaven contained within you this instant. Even if you cannot pull all of it up this instant, you can, nevertheless, dip into it. You are dipping into it. You do go to the reservoir within you to drink.
One day soon, sooner than you think, you will really quench your thirst. Time will melt away, and you will rise above where you think you stand now. Alignment with all that you desire will be your daily experience. You will know for yourself that what I say is true, and you will know it will be true for you, My beloveds, as it has always been.
