As the translating angel team continues to grow, it occurs to me that we might want to really help new translators, more than welcome them, really give them a hand.
For those of us who have been here a while, it's all easy for us. We know our way around the forum. We know how to post. And we are already comfortable. All of this will be true for new translators soon enough too.
Meanwhile, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to have a buddy system.
Claudia and her daughter Lizz are new translators from Germany. It's quite natural that Stefan, who has been translating Heavenletters into German for a long time, would be Claudia and Liz's mentor.
We also have new translators that are the first translation into their language. There isn't already somebody here who speaks their language.
Here are some of the new translators: .
Anca who translates into Romanian
Daniela who translates Heavenletters in Croatian
Ana who translates into Portuguese
Sara Sofia who translates in Finnish
Lea who translates into Tagalog, the official language of the Phillipines. Ted helps her, yet everyone can use an established translator to give a hand.
If I've left anybody out, please tell me.
I think it's like when someone moves to a new school in the middle of the year. We want to more than welcome them -- we really want to help them feel at home.
And if you would like to help a new translator, walk them through posting their Heavenletters, or even post for them if that helps them for a while, be their friend, bring them into this unique community of translators and can fit it into your life, that would be wonderful. Please let us know who you are.by posting here.
God bless you all a thousand times over.
With love,
Gloria
