CHRISTMAS IN OUR TIME
When in difficult times we live
As a good example of what it means to have faith;
When we try to make sense of the scriptures,
And find in them a new understanding of the symbolisms
Of the ancient wisdom they contain;
When, as a result, we humbly kneel in love and devotion
Before the child in the manger and its Holy parents –
It’s Christmas in our time.
Whenever someone appears who brings:
Renewed hope to our troubled world through
A fresh understanding of the meaning of salvation and redemption;
Comfort and help to those in despair;
When someone acts unselfishly, with justice, integrity, honesty and truth,
Without thinking about their own advantage;
Feels compassion and enters with love
Into another soul’s suffering,
The Divine spark in someone’s heart is coming alive,
Christ is born on the Earth and
It’s Christmas in our time.
When in recognition of their true self, hearts and souls reach out
To each other and say: ‘I forgive you!’,
The wounds of all lifetimes heal and the soul of our world heals, too;
When human beings treat each other with kindness and respect
For themselves and each other;
When hands reach across all barriers of race, colour, dogma and creed;
When souls, knowing that we are all children of the One,
Look for that which unites them and forget about
What once separated them from each other –
It’s Christmas in our time.
When souls endeavour to love faithfully and true,
Totally and unconditionally, the way our Creator loves us all,
Their love is Divine and of God;
When souls understand that God means the Holy Trinity of
The Great Father/Mother of all life,
Whose only born Son is the Universal Christ.
When yet another one grasps that He came into our world in human form,
To work and speak to us through the Master Jesus,
To teach us all through the example of his life
How each one of us is here to save and redeem ourselves,
Each other and also our whole world –
It’s Christmas in our time.
When in the child in the manger
We recognise the great love of our Divine Parents,
Who created our world and us, Its earthly children,
So that we should learn and grow;
When with deep gratitude we feel that their love is now coming alive
In every heart, including our own,
And we make an effort to share this love wherever and whenever we can,
Not just at Yuletide but any day of the year,
It’s Christmas in our time.
When, for the people of today, such things happen,
In spite of any events in the outer world,
Christmas at last becomes the long promised feast of joy;
When in the child in the manger we rediscover our own child,
Who loves the beautiful old stories and carols all the more,
Because we now know that all along they were true;
When yet another one of us appreciates that the only thing
We and our world ever needed was a fresh understanding
Of the ancient tales, then there comes to our world
A renewal of faith and appreciation of
God’s great wisdom, truth, mercy and love,
Another one has woken up and Christ is born in yet another heart,
The soul of our world and the Angels in the Heavens rejoice,
Because it’s Christmas in our time.
‘A happy Christmas and a blessed time to you all.’

The above is a link to a Christmas card of a very special kind that was sent to me by one of you – thank you so much, dear friend and thank you also for allowing me to share it here, so that everybody can enjoy it.
I wish everybody all the joy and happiness in the world at Christmas and the New Year and throughout the year 2008. My grateful thanks goes to God and the Angels for the gift of our friendship and also to those who making this Message Board possible – without it we would not even know about each other; what a pity that would be! God bless you all, each one.
With Love and Light,
Aquarius
