Everything gets resolved. Everything comes to an end. Except for love, everything does. All the perceived difficulties in life fall off the ends of the Earth. Squabbles disappear. They are not held on to. There is no ego left to hold on to them. All vanishes. Hurt no longer exists. Confusion does not remain. Whatever you are fussing about now, it is momentary. It lasts only so long as you keep it in your mind.
When your soul leaves your body, all the minding about this and minding about that – they disappear. They were nothing much to speak of anyway.
Turmoil does not last when you move on. You don’t have to wait for the death of the body in order to move on. Without you and the staggering debts you perceive that you owe to your mind, what is left to stir turmoil up? Where did it take form anyway but in your frenzied mind? There is no need for frenzy nor was it ever required. .
Whatever situation bothers you now, it will not last. Both the situation and the bothersomeness will depart of their own accord. You can abandon strife now. Strife exists in your heart. Let strife make its exit. Do you grasp that you are the perpetuator of strife, or you are the one who lets go of it? There must be some sense of preciousness to you in struggle, or you would step over struggle. You would leap over it. You would not bite down hard on it and so keep it to you.
You are perpetuator of difficulty or of ease. You may not have originated a storm, but how you walk through it is your inviolable choice. If you are enchained, you have consented to it. You participated in the onslaught. You may not be responsible for it, and yet you participated. Break the bonds of your mind, beloved. It is only the mind that enchains you. Do not be enchained even to chains.
The mind can travel where it wants. It can go over old paths, if it wants, or it can forge new ones. The roads of your mind can be wide highways. You don’t have to stay on the back roads. Your mind can play any tune you want. It can take any direction you want. Do not say you have no choice. You have choice. You have choice to move your mind from where it is now.
Your mind does not have to get stuck in one place. You can pick it up and move it at will. You can get something off your mind. There is no track your mind has to run on. And if you don’t like the track your mind is, veer in another direction. Your mind is not to control all the traffic nor does it have to keep up with it. Take the next ramp exit and go to a rest-stop. Park your mind for a while, and look up at the horizon. Difficulties are small. No matter how big, they are small. The horizon and the Heavens far exceed any of the difficulties you have occupied yourself with.
All that which keeps you from joy, it is time for you to let go of it. Soon or late, all the obstacles you perceive will be gone. What is the big deal? You know they won’t last. You know you can’t keep them forever. Let go of them now. Say Sayonara. Their only usefulness is so that you can rid yourself of them. They give you practice in letting go. They are all mountains made out of molehills. The biggest problem is a molehill. It has grown out of proportion to its merit. Get it back to size, and no longer reflect on it.
