Call for Spiritual Writers and Artists.
The online literary journal Cezanne’s Carrot (www.cezannescarrot.org) is seeking fiction, nonfiction, and art submissions for its upcoming Fall Equinox edition. We’re especially interested in work that pushes the boundaries of our theme and stretches beyond the three-dimensional world as we’ve known it. The deadline for the fall issue is August 22, 2006. Poetry submissions are also being accepted for consideration for the Winter 2006 and Spring 2007 issues.
Cezanne’s Carrot publishes high-quality literary work that explores spiritual, metaphysical, transformational, visionary, or contemplative themes. We are most interested in the personal quest for evolution and understanding, whether that quest takes place within the context of a religious tradition, an inner temple of your own making, or a seemingly mundane neighborhood or backyard. Cezanne’s Carrot appears quarterly, each Equinox and Solstice, in alignment with the Earth’s rhythms.
We’re interested in fiction and creative nonfiction from 100-3,000 words. We’re also reading poetry of any style, including prose poetry, haibun, and traditional or contemporary haiga. Simultaneous and reprint submissions are accepted. Three Editor’s Choice prizes of $25 will be awarded each issue, and all contributors will receive a CD containing the issue they’re published in.
